Comments on this board should be written with the assumption that not all readers have finished the book. Please avoid revealing any spoilers.

Me too.

Lori Keeton | 795 comments This is my first time reading the book. I’ve seen both movie versions. I can’t seem to get John Wayne’s voice out of my head, baby sister!!😏

Margaret | 29 comments Fascinating to read this after seeing both movie versions.
Really enjoying it.

Howard | 587 comments This is a book that can be enjoyed by people who like western novels as well as readers who normally do not like the genre.

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 497 comments I loved this book ... I've read it twice now. Recommended it to a local University Book Club a few years back and the English Dept faculty chose it. One of the best attended discussion groups they've had.

If I recall, the second movie adaptation was more faithful to the book than the first one.

Margaret | 29 comments I like the book better than the movies....

RJ, you are correct. I enjoyed both movies, though.
