ABANDONED. Romance: subplot has witch held captive by supernatural

I read this a couple years ago I think.

While the main characters (M & F) were out having their adventure, the story would shift to the man's homebase. He was a vampire or werewolf or something supernatural, and he was part of a group of them. At his group's homebase, they had a dungeon/holding cell. His group had captured a witch and was holding her there. One guy in his group had primary jailer duties, and the witch was trying to use her magic to get jailer to let her go. She didn't think the spell worked, but it actually had worked in a way she didn't plan, leaving them connected to each other somehow. She and jailer ended up going through some underground tunnel, that may have been attached to the room with the holding cell. At the end of the tunnel they end up in some building. There I think the witch had to do some magic to fight a coven of witches. Her family had belonged to the coven but had gotten kicked out, and now the coven was up to no good. After that was all over, the witch runs away and the jailer wants to go find her, not because he wants her as prisoner, but because now he wants a relationship with her.
