If you are interested in her, then you would love the film.. Simone de Beauvoir is also very convincing..

And Violette's name should not be confused with that of the architect and restorer Eugène Violet-le-Duc...

Love the graphic, Kalliope. Yet another person I need to learn about! I read both volumes of VL's autobiog years ago and loved them. I just don't have Time to REread, so I am grateful for the hint about the film. I think I will chase that one up..

I just got Mad in Pursuit, and I'm waiting for La Bâtarde to arrive. Hoping to read them relatively soon -- possibly in February. I'll wait to see the film until I've read both, but thanks for the heads up on it, Kall.
