SarahKat | 6384 comments This thread is to discuss Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third book in the Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling.

Pages: 435

Participants: Elena, Debra, Shareen, Allie, Isabella, Alison, Maya, Shraddha

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!

Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.

Happy Buddy Reading!

Alison | 1082 comments I just saw this thread open up...I would like to join this Buddy Read if possible! 😊

Cassie | 370 comments This is one of my favorite books in the series! I'm going to try very hard to squeeze it into my ridiculously optimistic TBR list for the month!

Sasha (sashasreading) | 33 comments I'm listening to the audio book. it's my first time trying an audio book so I thought better start with my favourite one

Allison | 498 comments Yay! I hope you’ll become a convert lol.

The HP books are wonderful in audiobook form (especially the Stephen Fry version).

May (theladymidnight) I was hoping to read the illustrated edition of this (since I read the first two books that way) but that plan was before the libraries were closed. I guess I'll reread this book later. Hope you guys enjoy the read :D

Claire (proud-mum) | 278 comments Does anyone have a favorite scene or line in Prisoner?

Claire (proud-mum) | 278 comments My favourite quote - “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”

What do you think is going through Aunt Petunia’s mind when Aunt Marge says, “If there’s something wrong with the bitch, there’ll be something wrong with the pup”?

Probably wanting to defend her sister but at the same time she doesn't want to because Lily's a witch? I'm pretty sure how she feels about her sister is very complicated.

It is very interesting that... (spoiler from Deathly Hallows) (view spoiler)

I feel like she's lived her whole life in Lily's magical shadow and her reactions are from sadness rather than hatred.

.sunflower. | 134 comments This has always been one of my favorites in the series, and I'm having such an enjoyable time re-reading it!

I also decided to go with the illustrated version this time, as I got it when it first came out but never read it. I'm really glad I chose it, though, because the illustrations and designs are so good. Has anyone else read this version?
