Thanks again! The Becky Chambers books look great but I just checked and there are big queues at the library for those. [book:Valor's Choice|772606] is available though, I'll give that one a go...

Thanks! I read This is How You Lose the Time War last year & enjoyed it, but hadn't heard of A Memory Called Empire - that looks good too.

Holly R W | 3122 comments A book that I thought was wonderful is tagged sci-fi. It is The Unseen World by Liz Moore. In the book, a young girl is being raised by her brilliant father in a computer lab. The scientists there are working on advanced technology to enable humans to actually talk and converse with computers. Here is my review:

Wow, Annapi! I think I would have abandonned it for now. I am impressed. I read it a couple of years ago and it keeps popping into my head and I keep ruthlessly shoving it back out.

The last book I finished was The Hot Zone: The Terrifying True Story of the Origins of the Ebola Virus which is not sci-fi but is fascinating and very topical. Read it in a day it was so interesting but just haven't managed to get into anything since. We are teaching both FTF and online for vulnerable kids/families so work load has doubled here in the last few weeks.

annapi | 5505 comments Loved The Hot Zone, I read it so long ago, shortly after it came out.
