I’m not sure if any of you have read this book, but I’m working on a school project for which I’m supposed to do a presentation on an aspect of the book that I have a personal interest in. For this project, I’ve decided to talk about the gender roles in the Gikuyu community (which is the community in which the story is set) and whether characters conformed to or rebelled against these gender roles and the significance of their decisions. However, I’m not sure which quotations I should use, and it would really help me out if those of you who have read it could comment down below which quotes you think might help me with my presentation.
