Re 50: I don't have the confidence to attempt most of these, especially when the logs are so out of whack! For #43, for example, there's been a daisy chain of ISBN changes, resulting in the original 43 being cannibalised and then recreated. I have no idea if that's fine as is, or if it needs to be reverted.#45,
ETA: I definitely agree with the ACE for 43. For a second I was worried the original 43 was the cover for a different ISBN, but the number under its price looks like 10168 to me, so it should be fine.
If your referring to #43 as in this, Dangerous Friendship it seems that ISBN 0263719804 (the original one, which is already on the database) was changed to 037310168X. I have no clue why but whatever the case everything seems about right now.Also I don't know what you mean by "ETA" but I know definitely that it doesn't mean Estimated Time of Arrival. LOL

re 53: Yep, that's what I was talking about. ISBNs aren't supposed to be moved from their original records when they're valid, so I don't know if reverting is necessary, even though the removed ISBN was re-added to the database immediately in a new record. However, it seems we have another worry with the Harlequin editions; if you just look at the past requests in this thread, you'll see there's been a lot of repurposing of records with valid ISBNs to accommodate new records with different ISBNs. It doesn't seem to even matter if the old record had a cover attached or was more or less complete. So, basically, we have to check the records of Harlequins we come across for signs of this.

3) This edition has the wrong cover uploaded by sable, and Amazon has the same wrong cover; the ISBN has publisher code 263, making it a Mills & Boon edition, while the cover is a Harlequin one (in fact, the same Harlequin one as Edwina's edition, for the same reason as in 1).
I don't know if we can use it, but the real cover is on fictiondb.

Just because the author wrote 3 books set in Greece does not make them a series. Stephanos series needs to be removed. Also it should be noted that this book is Harlequin Presents #12.
LOL we're actually going through problems with Mills & Boons and their love of series. I think this one should be kept because its has common characters the 'Stephanos'.
LOL if you ask me, all of these mills & boon series that have Greece as the common element should remain series, as they're all set in 'Greeceland', where Greek people have the most odd-sounding names. Stephanos, for example is a Greek name -- a first name. There is a surname that incorporates that name, but that would be Stephanou (oo like noose).

RECAP FROM THE PAST 40 POSTSThis thread got a bit messy, so here's a current list of what has and hasn't been done from posts 41-81:
#41: Request completed.
#43: Request Completed. However, linked edition has had some irregular log activity; the original, valid ISBN from that record was replaced with a new ISBN, and then a new record with the deleted ISBN was created. I don't know if any action is necessary at this point.
#45: Request Completed. However, two editions had been irregularly altered resulting in two valid ISBNs being removed from the database. Actions taken described above.
#51: Request completed. However, the linked edition is very problematic; original record was repurposed and there was a later re-import of the original ISBN. The matter is further complicated by the fact that the original record is an Abridged, textbook edition. Same case as for 41.
#59: Request Completed. However, this edition had a bad cover change to a cover that looks almost identical, but is for a different Harlequin Presents edition (from the numbers underneath the price). Reverted to original cover, though tiny, as the identifying numbers aren't distinguishable, it may very well be the correct cover. No further attention necessary.
#64: Request Completed. No further attention necessary.
#66, 68, 74, 76 Done. Minor edits. No further attention necessary.

The edition you linked was a valid edition, albeit with an incorrect check digit, but it had the cover for your edition (so identified by the numbers visible below the price in the upper right corner) so I removed it from there and added it to yours.

The linked edition was a seemingly valid edition with a wrong check digit, which I corrected. It had, however cannibalised a different record for its creation. I reverted the changes to the record and completed with information from WorldCat and Amazon, then recreated the cannibal record, though I could not definitively verify its validity or non-validity.

However, *shudders* the log is one of the worst I've seen so far. One edition was cannibalised, and then two of it sprang up in its place. Plus, some of the editions have Philippa and Lucas as the main couple, while others have Kate and Marcus. Which ones do you have Edwina?

The linked edition, again, had the wrong check digit for its ISBN10, which I fixed. Again, it had been created by repurposing the record of a different, valid ISBN. It's not demonstrably invalid, so I recreated it after I walked back the changes to the original record, which I updated with information from Amazon and WorldCat. However, I did not re-add the cover, as the digits in the upper right corner, under the price, identify it as the cover for Edwina's ISBN.
