Hey Everyone! So let's kick this off with introductions! So for this I'd like to see the following;

-What time period would you travel to if you could.

Field: I specialize in Adult services and community outreach
Hobbies: I read, write, knit, and do stand up comedy.
Favorite book: "The Goldfinch" by Donna Tartt
Time period: I would travel to Ancient Egypt: Take pictures of the Pharaohs to show Ridley Scott how wrong he was to cast an all white cast in 'Exodus', then hang out in the library of Alexandria, finally I would then have tea with Freddie Mercury.

My favorite book:a children's book..One and Only Ivan. Adult, mysteries.
Time period: never thought about it...Germany in the 60's when I was born just to see what it was like at that time

Time Period: Ancient Greece (but only if I can be a wealthy dude. Or Sappho. Or one of the women from the Lysistrata). Otherwise ~the future~ when we have flying cars.

Time Period: Always have trouble with this question as a black person 0_0...probably the 1980's. Big Hair, brat pack all of that.

Hobbies: not many, I try my best at some Pinterest crafts, repurposing books, and reading/watching/playing whatever my 3 teenager boys are so I can do it with them.

-What time period would you travel to if you could: Assuming I would be able to find a way to blend in/maintain my freedom - Japan before Perry; Alexandria before Caesar; or 18th Century Scotland.

Seriously? Ha. Um. Depends on the day. Maybe Palimpsest by Catherynne M. Valente.

Belle Époque in Paris or between the world wars in Vienna.

Favorite Book - UGH! Crazy loaded question with no answer! As of today, favorite books are Going Bovine by Libba Bray, Grasshopper Jungle by Andrew Smith, and Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick

Jennifer (jhovanec) | 8 comments Danielle, I finished it and immediately began the web search to find out more about her. If you get a chance, check out some of the snippets of her talks during her book tour. She genuinely seems to appreciate her fans. And, her Twitter feed is a riot. I recognized the cover from her last book, and I remember thinking back then, "She looks awesome! I gotta read that one." But, that happens about 12 times a day, lol. So, "How to Be a Woman" is definitely a to-read in 2015.

Librarian field: I'm the branch manager of a small, rural public library- so I do a little bit of everything.
Hobbies: I knit and try my hand at multiple crafty activities. I love to hike and camp, but don't get to do it as often as I would like.
Going back in time: I'd really love to see the 1960s. Or fin de siècle Paris.

I'm a Youth Services Librarian that just returned to working with children from hanging out with teens.

My hobbies include crafting of all sorts, making and wearing costumes, video games, puppetry and writing.

My favorite book is a seriously difficult question to answer. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and of those, Half Blood Prince is my favorite. I also enjoy The Raven Boys quite a bit.

If I could travel to any time, I'd go to the future to see how right or wrong all the YA dystopian books are.

I really appreciate everyone's time travel answer. These answers make me wish that we all lived close together so we could all have a "Time Travel" party where we come dressed in the period we all want to time travel to and just look at each other all confused.

Youth Services Branch Librarian in a large urban system, I so I serve all patrons birth - 18.
Loom knitting hats, anything netflix, board/card games, coloring.
I recently read Landline and loved it. And I <3 YA lit.
I don't know where/when I'd like to go. I've been marathon watching Quantum Leap, so I think I'd just like to stay in the present for right now. ;)
