Elysium is a place for the especially distinguished. Rhadamanthus rules over it and ensures that the souls that dwell here have an easy afterlife with no labors. Though those who were especially righteous during their lifetime it is usually the gods that are granted entrance to these fields. The souls who dwell in Elysium are given the option to stay here or be reborn. If a soul is reborn and reaches Elysium three times, they are granted access to the Isles of the Blessed.

Persephone had been walking around Elysium talking to some of the heroes of old as well as a king who died before his time. A king she helped raise to power. Okay she shouldn't have interfered in mortal affairs but really their choice in rulers was very poor and it hadn't got better. Hades was supposed to have come with her on her rounds but he was busy with some meeting.
" Hi Clio. I hope you are well" she said with a smile as she walked over to the muse and her half cousin. She had so many cousins thanks to her fathers affairs it was lucky that most of them turned out to be decent people. " What are you doing down here? Most goddesses seem to avoid it. To dark and gloomy for their tastes." she said with a light laugh. If only they could see what was hidden behind the gloom. The beauty the place held.
" Well thank you and of course he is not that my mother would ever believe that," she said with a roll of her eyes. Why her mother still hadn't dropped that old grudge against Hades for something that wasn't even his fault annoyed her. " Ah they do like to show off, not much chance to perform anymore. And me? Well I was doing the round and checking on some of the more esteemed members of Elysium. They seem to want to talk to you forever. I suppose its a product of not being living anymore and wanting to know what is going on in the mortal world," she said thoughtfully.
" She was worse than Zeus sometimes" Persephone said with a groan remembering her mother. She was glad it was her turn to be in the Underworld rather than up in Olympus especially with this nonsense with Zeus going on. She hoped her husband would have the good sense to stay out of it. "The at is true and it's a shame as some of the forgotten heroes are more heroic than the likes of Perseus, Orion, Theseus and Herakles that people actually have remembered. And I wouldn't worry to much about dying yet as after all it's only Zeus that is ill if the rumours are even true. Surely if it was a disease it would have spread further by now..." Persephone said.
Persephone shuddered remembering some of those incidents. She could see why her husband avoided his mother in law and sister. "I don't blame you. I would too if I had a choice but unfortunately everyone expects me to be the one to deal with her temper tantrums." Persephone said. If anything she was more likely to rile her mother up than calm her down. " Maybe not but with is only being Zeus that ill, it means the person targeting him is only after him or else he would have acted by now. And yes we can stop it but we have to work together and stop blaming each other," she said. She didn't want to get involved through and would advise her husband to do the same but who knows out of some missed place affection for his brothers he may help.
" Ah it's fine. I've heard a lot worse," Persephone said smiling. Hades had a habit of cursing every time something went wrong and some of the things he said were fairly creative. " Of course when things go wrong lets just blame the person who is the most likely to help you" she said rolling her eyes. Why Zeus kept blaming Poseidon she would never know. Hades she could understand even if she didn't agree but Poseidon... All Poseidon ever did was help him and if rumours were correct he even passed up on the Olympian Throne for Zeus. " And don't worry I will warn my husband. And it's not surprising in times of trouble Zeus always blames his brothers as it is less frightening than facing the possibility there is some other evil out there," she said.
Persephone watched Clio for a while before turning to her own thoughts. She didn't know what was going on with Zeus as Hades wouldn't tell her anything but she hoped whatever it was could be resolved. She didn't want a war. " Well I don't know about that but he certainly is paranoid. Even through according to Hades in terms of power both he and his brother have more. But anyway I'm sure we can find pleasanter topics to discuss. How are your sisters?" she asked changing the topic.
" Hermes? Well that's a new development. How long has it been going on for? And I'm well thank you and to be honest not a lot just spending time with my husband when he isn't busy and that he is. I think we may have to find a reward for him soon." Persephone said trying to think what her husbands pet might like as he did enjoy mortal flesh but she doubted Zeus would be happy if they fed the dog a mortal. And it wasn't worth risking Zeus's wrath over not at this particular moment in time anyway.
" Still it is interesting. And being scary is part of his job but I can try... maybe a pretty pink butterfly collar." she said thinking about it. And the Hermes think was something her husband may be interested in if this situation got any worse as he could blackmail the god to be on their side after all Hermes was ruled by his emotions like so many of the gods.
" He's a big softie really. You should see him when Hades has time off. He's like an excitable puppy," she said giggling remembering the games of fetch she had watched. It really was quite cute. Of course her mother said they were both demons and that Persephone deserved better but what was she going to do marry Theseus friend who's name she couldn't remember? Or one of the other gods. A pain suddenly went through her stomach and she clutched it tightly, hoping nothing was wrong.
The pain passed quickly and it didn't seem like Clio had noticed anything. " Hahaha sure, I'll dig it out or film a new one." she said giggling. She just had to persuade her husband to take break so she could film a video as Cerberus preferred her husband to her. Apparently according to Hades she smelt to much of flowers and the Mortal World and not like an underworld being.
" I'm okay, it's just a stomach pain, I get them every so often there is no need to be worried," she said with a smile. She really did need to learn to cover up her emotions better before Zeus or maybe even his brother decided to use them against her to get to Hades.
((Sorry I haven't replied))
" Very well. I suppose I will see you when I am next on Olympus. Take care." Persephone said with a polite smile. She supposed she could go join her husband in whatever he was currently doing unless it was judging the dead as she got rather over emotional at that especially when young, innocent children were involved. She didn't think it was fair to send the to the Fields because they hadn't been alive long enough to have done any good or bad in the world.

"Goodbye," Persephone said calling after the young muse before turning around and walking back through Elysium so she could get to her husbands palace as it was quicker than walking back through all the lands of the dead again. She hoped he wasn't busy so they could talk and maybe spend some time alone as they hadn't much time to even speak since Zeus's son died.
