Now this might just be luck or ramblings but I can't help but not be surprised by this series anymore, hear me out.
I will start with the things on the top of my head having just recently finished the revenge of seven.
So eights body and brief life, obvious when bringing the body to the temple and even more so when marina says "I'm not ready" when six asks about burying the body in the sanctuary well. Agree?
Sam getting telekinesis and saving John? To be fair I was only surprised by how long it took for that to happen I thought it would have a book or two ago! Surely everyone seen that one coming?
Adam killing his father, classic. Was never in doubt of that since meeting Adam.
Ella being related to setrakus, I think after dulce base everyone had their hunch and then after the visions/dreams, sorta was a given to happen?
eight sacrificing himself was a little shock in a sense of the manner but I thought he was gonna die by protecting marina not 9 so that was a little but not totally unexpected.
5 turning sides again, surely everyone else sensed that one too?
sort of going on a bit, I have a few more examples but you get the point I'm trying to make. Not only this but while reading you can determine outcomes, such as the fight scene at the end. Ella ready to sacrifice herself, never gonna happen, too predictable, five saving the day after the bike messenger gossip, obvious. setrakus not dying is also a given. it was just a very bad ending, where was the big cliffhanger or excitement, it was all too obvious, truthfully who was reading and got a shock at the end, that never went I bet this happens and then that thing happened. I was very disappointed in the ending, perhaps it was because I know how many more books are to come (which is something I hate authors/publishers do, it sorta spoils the end as you know its not thee end). this wasn't the case when reading the rise of nine when they fought at dulce base, I actually thought setrakus was going to die as I was unaware of future books, maybe that's a downfall on my part for the anticlimax I read.
opinions?
p.s. does anyone get a star wars storyline link to this in a way
