Okay thank you :)

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments Out of my face claims, who should I make be Calliope? I think she should be blonde, so I'm leaning towards Amanda Seyfried, but I'm not sure.

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments Okay, thanks!

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments okay gang need help with my latest charrie faceclaim

Son of Eros and older brother to Hedone (Sensual Pleasure) Pothos God of Longing, Yearning Desire. "The longing toward the unattainable, the ungraspable, the incomprehensible, that idealization which is attendant upon all love and which is always beyond capture." the exact opposite of Himeros who represents attainable sexual desire.

I am considering:

Francisco Lachowski
*Christen Johnson
Danny Schwarz
*Vince Sant

My tops being Vince and Christen

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments I think Vince

Pothos is Eros's brother not son...

And Vince

message 58: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments Well in some myths he is Eros's brother and other's he has been a son...and in some he has been nothing close...I wanted to give him an interesting background story by going with the version of him being Eros's son.

message 59: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments and okay vince it is!!!

message 60: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments if that is okay Haley if not I'll come up with a different story and just change things around for a different background no big ^_^ As I said before I'm highly interested in the many versions of Greek mythology and I often enjoy going with the less pronounced ones...If you want me to change it there will be no problem.

message 61: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments One unstable resource that most will look at to see if this fact is true is wiki.
Pothos (Greek: Πόθος) was one of Aphrodite's erotes and brother to Himeros and Eros. In some versions of myth, Pothos is the son of Eros, or is portrayed as an independent aspect of him.[5] Yet others called him son of Zephyrus and Iris.[19] He was part of Aphrodite's retinue, and carried a vine, indicating a connection to wine or the god Dionysus. Pothos represents longing or yearning.[17]

Another resource:
Pothos was the son of Eros and Aphrodite, or according to another myth, the son of Zefyros and Iris. His brothers were Imeros and Anteros.

He is the embodiment of longing, sexual yearning, and lustful desire. In some myths he is actually the son of Eros himself- in the stories where he a much greater god, independent of Aphrodite.
Same as with Himeros, the two are usually bundled together when myths are referring to the Erotes. As with most of the other winged child love gods, he was present during Aphrodite's rise from the sea.

Some versions have stated all of the Erotes being children of Zephyr the west wind. Allowing msot to all being present during Aphrodite's rise form the sea.

Just to show you I'm not making it up, but as Is iad I can change it to how most view it without a problem...I just wanted you to know I'm not simply writing fiction out of mythology.

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments Do you think Sibylla is an okay last name for Calliope?

message 63: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments Can I speak honestly when I say no, Laura because the name means Prophetess; oracle. Calliope was no oracle and it sort of disturbs me mentally...sorry I didn't want to lie to you.

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments Oh, that's fine! Thanks for your opinion :) Any suggestions?

message 65: by Eros (last edited Dec 21, 2014 09:40AM) (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments A number of personal choices naturally you don't have to like any of them or use them:
Catullus - name of an Italian poet
Dantae - Enduring in Italian I felt it appropriate because she is muse of epic poetry.
Kalidas - Poet musician in Indian
Shaira - Poetess in African
Gerodi - Hero in Italian as in the main character of an epic
Eroina - Heroine in Italian
Epicus - Epic story in Latin
Epos - Epic Poem in Latin

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments Okay, thank you!

message 67: by Lord (new)

Lord Warlock (lordwarlock) | 111 comments The Sibyl was the oracle. Remember when Heracles stole her tripod. Good times, good times.

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments XD Yeah

message 69: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments Is haley going to ever answer my question whether or not she wants me to change my character story. I don't want to get started on him and it to become an epic fail.

message 70: by Lord (new)

Lord Warlock (lordwarlock) | 111 comments Who is your character?

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments I don't think she's on right now, but I'm not sure.

message 72: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments Pothos

message 73: by Lord (new)

Lord Warlock (lordwarlock) | 111 comments Ohhh, yeah there are loads of variations of every god and goddess. People debate over Amphitrite's parentage so I'm just gonna go with the one I personally favour.

message 74: by Lord (new)

Lord Warlock (lordwarlock) | 111 comments I loveeee Pothos~

message 75: by Lord (new)

Lord Warlock (lordwarlock) | 111 comments And Laura I like Dantae because the epics endured thousands of years. The Iliad is my favourite book now, and it always will be.

Hayley is busy right now so she'll reply when she's back. It might not be until tomorrow though, but I doubt it'll be that long. Maybe you could start on the basics first Jacob

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments Yeah, same :)

ikr that's what I was gonna do but I don't want to stir up conflict of opinion with the MoDs just because we believe in different versions. That's why I would rather wait first and get a direct answer rather than get my hopes up and have them torn down.

It's fine as Eros is already the father of Hedone but I was trying to make Eros young and fairly irresponsible but I get the feeling he would have made a decent father...

message 81: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments Oh okay...well he can still be immature I mean the guy is married and in love doesn't mean he has to be mature. Believe me when I say that because I know plenty of guys with kids and a wife who are the msot immature creatures to wlak this earth.

message 82: by Hayley, God of the Seas (new)

Hayley | 473 comments Mod
Not so sure if I'm having him in love with his wife, I mean I know the myth and there a few ways around it... It's just Eros is also known as the youngest of the gods in some of his epithets... but hey I can work things out...

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments I believe I have his wife, if you want to do something with that.

message 84: by Eros (new)

Eros (spiritually_evolving_always) | 424 comments yeah I mean technically psyche would never be a goddess were it not for Eros. But god's are never in love with their consorts for long..given it is modern times why not put a modern twist they had their two kids and are looking for divorce???

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments That sounds good. Is that okay, Hayley?

message 86: by Hayley, God of the Seas (new)

Hayley | 473 comments Mod
Yep :) Eros has a crush on Apollo and I'm thinking he has probably had one since ancient times...

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments Haha, okay!

message 88: by Lord (new)

Lord Warlock (lordwarlock) | 111 comments Everyone has a crush on pretty little Apollo ;)

Except for Hera, she hates everybody.

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments Yeah, I've always had liked Apollo and Hermes :)

message 90: by Lord (new)

Lord Warlock (lordwarlock) | 111 comments Saaame, I mean, if we're going to say our absolute favourites, mine are Ares and Hades, but Apollo and Hermes would toootally get it.

ʟ ᴀ ᴜ ʀ ᴀ | 194 comments Haha, same. My absolute favorites are Hermes and Athena, for sure.

Eros- Should I keep his personality as it is or for anyone who has seen it make him more like Lucian from Kill Your Darlings.

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

Would the daughter of Aphrodite and Ares have Ares' last name or Aphrodite'?

message 94: by Lord (new)

As someone who has seen it, I would throw a bit of Lucian in there - I love Lucian.

And yes, take Aphrodite's last name. I think Hera would have a literal heart attack if she took Ares' name ;P

Any idea for a face claim for Euterpe- Muse of singing.

I have some claims already if you take a look at my face claims and suggest one of them...

message 98: by Lord (new)

Lord Warlock (lordwarlock) | 111 comments Either Diana Agron or Rosie Tupper, I like them two for that particular muse~

message 99: by Lord (new)

Lord Warlock (lordwarlock) | 111 comments Also guys, for my faceclaim for Erebus, I'm so stuck.

I got

Christian Bale
