She's not as beautiful as her sisters Demeter and Hera but charming enough to attract a few gods. Hestia has short dark hair and it's easy to tell how she's feeling by looking at her. Her eyes are blue and there's normally a reflection of flames in them.

Ares was the child of Hera and Zeus, born of an immaculate conception. You see Hera was rather jealous of Zeus who was able to conceive a child, Dionysus, by putting the child into his thigh after the mother died. Hera took a magical herb that allowed her to have a child immaculately, this child was Ares.

Zeus because he was not actually the father of Ares (no one was really) was not one to excessively dote upon infant Ares. He was rather negligent. Once during infancy Ares had been abducted by two giants, known as the Aloadai, and they had trapped him in a gigantic bronze jar, to never release him. Zeus however paid little attention. It was in the end the Aloadai mother who discovered the truth and told Hermes who assisted releasing Ares from the bronze jar.

Seeing the unsafe environment for Ares (being trapped in bronze jars for several years is not the best toddler care), Hera decided to move Ares somewhere else safer, thus she chose Priapus, who trained and raised Ares until he was a fully grown man.

Ares the God of War had one main adversary, his sister Athena, who was also a deity of warfare. Though they were both deities of warfare they represented different aspects of war itself. Ares was the God of war and bloodlust, he represented the primal nature of war, its brutality, and its violence. He fought just on instinct and his own rage and personal fury he had, and fought primarily for the sake of fighting. However on the opposite spectrum was Athena the Goddess of Wisdom and Warfare. Her warfare was the tactical warfare that calculated each move carefully with strategic strikes in order to get the job done. As can be seen brother and sister were very different, and from this vast difference many conflicts arose.

Ares among the Greek peoples was least favored because of his brutal nature. He was seen as a mercenary of sorts, filled with rage and lust for blood. He was seen as unappeasable and fickle, supporting one side at one time, but changing sides at another time, just so he could shed blood and cause war.

Ares also had quite the interesting love life. Though he was never married, he had several relationships. Plus all of these relationships were never one night stands, as many of these were somewhat committed relationships, relationships that bore him several children. Also much unlike numerous other gods, Ares did not use deceit or trickery in order to attain his love affairs. He never abducted, raped, or tricked a woman for his love.

Ares most famous and most long-term love affair was the with the goddess of beauty Aphrodite. Even though Aphrodite was already married to Hepheastus, she saw much of the handsome Ares (a big improvement from the blacksmith Hepheastus who is considered very ugly). From their relationship they had several children, including Harmonia who would grow up to become the fearless leader and mother of a tribe of fearsome warrior women, the Amazonians.

Not surprisingly Ares was very well known for the many conflicts he was embroiled in. During the Trojan War Ares joined the war on the side of the Trojans against the Greeks as a show of support for Aphrodite. Although this may have gotten him brownie points with Aphrodite the other Olympians were none too pleased, as most supported the Greeks. In battle he charged Athena who had been taunting him during the battle. During his advance Athena picked a large stone and flung it at Ares stopping his advance and knocking him unconscious.

During the same Trojan War, Athena was able to convince a Greek soldier to wound Aries. With the help of Athena he did and wounded Ares. In pain and rage Ares bellowed loudly, so loudly that the earth itself shook at his voice. He tried to complain to Zeus (yes he went crying to daddy), but Zeus refused to acknowledge his complaints.

In another conflict Ares went to the aid of one of his fellow Olympians surprisingly enough. This was the case of King Sisyphus. He found out that King Sisyphus was holding Hades the God of the underworld, and Ares decided to come to his rescue. Ares went and administered heavy threats to Sisyphus including decapitation if he didn’t relent Hades’s captivity. Sisyphus in fear did release Hades. Hey you would be afraid too if the God of bloodlust and war was threatening you.

Although Ares was disliked by many peoples, and there were many other Olympians favored more than him, he still had plenty of followers. However many of these followers were, unfortunately, not so morally upright (and in some cases just crazy) minor deities and mortals, several of which included his own sons.

In battle he rode with two of his sons, who were minor deities themselves. One was Phobos who represented fear, and Daiemos who represented Panic.
Also Ares was viciously protective of many of his numerous children, propelling him into various conflicts to defend them, however many of these instances led Ares to join into battles that he could not win.

When one of his sons was killed during the Trojan War, Ares, leapt onto the battlefield, defying Zeus' orders that the gods and goddesses not take part in the battle.

In another case, Ares’ son Cycnus was a thief who attacked travelers on certain roads, killed them and took their bones from the bodies. What was he using the bones for? He wanted to create a gigantic temple in honor of his father… made completely of human bones, that’s a little gruesome. However Cycnus had the great misfortune of messing with one traveler that he really should not have, Heracles. When he tried to attack Heracles, obviously Heracles fought back, and when Ares saw this he jumped to the defense of his son Cycnus. However Heracles was far stronger than both of them, he easily killed Cycnus and he deeply wounded Ares.

And Ares wasn’t sexist; he was equally defensive with his daughters as well. Once one of Poseidon’s also numerous sons attempted to rape Ares daughter Alcippe. When Ares saw this he promptly stopped him and brutally killed him. Poseidon was furious and demanded he be put on trials with the twelve Olympians presiding over the case. This lead to the first murder trial in recorded history. The hill, which was in Athens, was appropriately named Aeropagus (Ares’ Hill). At the end of the trial Ares was acquitted of all his charges.

He is often cast in shadows, and wears dark, archaic clothing most of the time, as he does not frequently venture to the land of the mortals.

Erebus is not a particularly emotional being on the surface. He appears disinterested with everything, and yet intrigued by every person who passes through his darkness. The prospect of darkness excites him in the quietest of ways, and though he seems so attentive, he also gives the impression that everyone could disappear and he wouldn't give a damn. He treats his children kindly, albeit vacantly, though he will give them nothing whimsically. He does as he likes, whether it benefits others, or not. In short, Erebus has a personality which whilst simple and basic, is hard for anyone to truly understand. He is not as human as the gods younger than him, less so than even his children. One of the more rare traits is his terror in the face of light itself, and he avoids it as much as possible.

Erebus, though not a particularly active god, is one of the primordial deities in existence long before the Olympians ever took to the throne. Erebus features little in Greek mythological tradition and literature, but is said to have fathered several other deities with Nyx; depending on the source of the mythology, this union includes Aether, Hemera, the Hesperides, Hypnos, the Moirai, Geras, Styx, Charon, and Thanatos. All of whom were to be very important in their own right, but he was said to be particularly close with Thanatos, his favourite son.

His region of the Underworld was where all dead passed upon arriving. When Hades was made Ruler, he had little protests at hand, and the two worked well together.

Unlike the other goddesses, Hebe tends to be very clumsy and falls over quite a few times if she is not paying much attention. Some may describe her as uncharismatic and Hebe uses her youthful looks to undermine this fact. Hιsτσгψ: Hebe was the daughter of Zeus and Hera. However, according to a myth of that time, Hera had been impregnated solely by wild lettuce, while having dinner with the Greek god Apollo. Hebe married Heracles just after he had obtained immortality, and the couple gave birth to two sons, Alexiaris and Anicetus. Through Hebe, Heracles also gained eternal youth, much to the dislike of Hebe's mother, Hera, who was fighting against Heracles constantly. Hebe residence was on Mount Olympus. Usually, she was preparing the chariot of her mother Hera, or taking care of her brother Ares, by dressing him with magnificent clothes, preparing his bath and washing his clothes. Mainly, however, Hebe acted as a servant to the Olympian Gods, pouring sweet nectar into their glasses, until Ganymede, the lover of Zeus, was brought to Mount Olympus and replaced the goddess. Some believe Ganymede is an enemy of Hebe because of this but he is actually one of her closest friends.

Khione is the daughter of Boreas, the North Wind and Oreithyia, whom he abducted. Growing up Khione was tutored by the best and spoiled but she never acted spoiled as she was raised with a very strict and firm hand. She never did any thing wrong until she went down to earth away from her fathers protection. The gods had never seen her before and went crazy. She was involved with Hermes and Apollo for a while but neither lasted long. She then learned how the gods cast off girls that they had used then ditched. She was hurt but still loved the natture and made friends with different nymphs and minor gods and godddesses. One day something amazing happened. She was loved by Poseidon and had him a son, Eumolpus. She loved Poseidon so much but her father found out and banned her from seeing him again. So she came down and placed her sun on the beach to be swept into the sea by his father. He was entrusted to the care of Benthesikyme. The Eumolpidae in charge of the Eleusinian mysteries claimed descent from her, as the mother of Eumolpus with Poseidon. After her failure with relationships she became more closed off. Then her two little brothers were born. Her father loved to have sons and totally ignored her. Her sibling well... Zetes was a player but a bad player. Calaides was not the brightest ever. Her father still loved and worshipped them though they were originally demigods and she is a goddess.

Hιsτσгψ: Amatista is the child of an Aurai nymph and a mortal man. She was a troublesome baby and as soon as she could move, she wads all over the house, never staying still. She grew up with her father in a small beach house in Cyprus as her mother had left them when Ista was born. Ista was a lively girl and spent a lot of her time outside in the open air and took up a lot of sporting activities like swimming, tennis, badminton and horse riding. She didn't particularly like school much and found it a waste of time, often persuading her dad to let her skip. She had a fairly normal childhood until she was 11 years old and her mother came back at 3am on 5th April. Ista was woken up by her parents screaming at each other and went downstairs to investigate.
"Dad what's going on?" she asked her father once she was downstairs. Her father looked at her blankly.
"Your mothers here to take you away," he said before turning to walk back upstairs. Ista was obviously confused and resisted her mothers attempts to reason with her but her father had come back down with her stuff. So that was that. She had to live with her mother now. Ista was taken to Olympus and told about her heritage. She spent her days doing what she wanted and not worrying what anyone else thought of her. She grew up to be a beautiful, headstrong girl and she knew about her beauty. She spent a lot of time in the Mortal World as she grew into a teenager and caught the attention of the God Hypnos who seduced her and left her pregnant. She managed to hide her pregnancy until her fifth month when she really started to show and her mother found out. She wouldn't listen to any of her daughters pleas that it had been consensual and went straight to Zeus but Zeus didn't care- it was just another pregnant Nymph. Four months later Ista gave birth to a healthy baby boy. She raised the child on her own until her lover came back into her life and knocked her up again. At the moment he seems to be staying around but she is sure that will change.

Hιsτσгψ: Psyche was once a mortal princess whose astounding beauty earned the ire of Aphrodite when men turned their worship from goddess to girl. Aphrodite commanded Eros make Psyche fall in love with the most hideous of men, but the god himself fell in love with her and carried her away to his secret palace. However Eros hid his true identity, and commanded her never to look upon his face.

Psyche was eventually tricked by her jealous sisters into gazing upon the face of god, and he abandoned her. Fυll Ƥнψsιςλl Dεsςгιρτισπ: With a face claim of George Blagden, Dionysus has an air of youthful beauty about him. His hair is dark, curly, and slightly wild; he usually has some amount of stubble decorating his jaw, the amount depending on the day or year in question. Dionysus is fairly well-built, with a tall and toned body. He is by no means the strongest god, but he is one of the quickest, his muscles and reflexes having been strengthened by millennia of dancing.

Dгεssιπɢ Ѕτψlε: Dionysus's style varies from day to day. As he often visits the morals on Earth, he can be seen in modern-looking clothes.



He also likes to wear more sophisticated clothes.

When on Olympus, he's quite partial to robes of brilliant green or deep purple.

Rare is the occasion when a frown or grimace mars the handsome face of Dionysus. A friendly and welcoming god, he is quick to accept that which he does not know, and slow to judge a god or mortal. Dionysus usually appears very outgoing and happy, but is subject to periods of intense melancholy or unexplainable sadness. During these periods, he'll take extra care to hide himself from all other beings, knowing well that his reputation as a bringer of joy and gaiety would be on the line were anyone to know. He's an extremely merciful god, as he lived for a long time among humans, and rarely doles out any significant punishments. He's usually very understanding, and is a good listener and giver of advice. A touch cynical, he's also not one to withhold a painful truth to someone who may need it, least of all himself.

Dionysus was one of those gods whose birth was a mix of both good and bad luck; in other words, his birth was in no way conventional.

His mother was the beautiful and gentle mortal Semele, who was a princess, and his father was none other than the mighty Zeus, ruler of Olympus. The two had been having a love affair, although Semele had not even the faintest idea that her lover was in fact Zeus himself, since Zeus transformed himself before going to her. When Hera found out about the affair, she was furious, and vowed to make Semele's life a living hell. She cunningly disguised herself as a nurse and befriended Semele. After finally gaining her trust, Hera convinced Semele to make her lover swear an oath to give him a single wish, and planted a seed of doubt into Semele's mind as to who her lover truly was. Zeus complied. When Semele asked him to reveal his true identity, he pleaded and pleaded for her to reconsider. However, as she wasn't changing her mind and he had sworn on the River Styx, he was forced to reveal his true godly form. Semele burned to death instantly.

Devastated by Semele’s death, Zeus acquired the help of the messenger god Hermes, and with his help they rescued his unborn son from Semele’s womb as she was dying. They then proceeded to stitch the premature baby into Zeus’s thigh where Zeus carried him until he was ready to be born. Upon his birth, Zeus named his son "Dionysus".

Hera, furious that Dionysus was even alive, hired Titan assassins who came and attacked Dionysus. After they viciously killed him and left his pieces lying upon the floor, it was said that Rhea brought him back to life once more.

Zeus, noticing at last the unsafe environment in which his child was being raised, entrusted Dionysus to Hermes, in turn entrusted the child to King Athamas and Queen Io. In order to fool Hera, they raised Dionysus as a female, dressing him up as a woman and raising him in the womens' quarters. However, Hera soon found out that Dionysus was still alive, and (seeming less than content with killing him once) attempted once more to kill him. This time, she planted the seed of madness within his foster parents' minds, so that in their madness they would attempt to kill their son, mistaking him for a deer. Hermes arrived just in time, and snuck Dionysus out by turning him into a baby goat. Afterwards, Hermes sent Dionysus into the mountains and entrusted the child to the mountain nymphs, known as the Hyades. The nymphs, being ever so lovely creatures, doted on him an excessive amount, feeding him honey and practically spoiling him. During his stay on the mountains, Dionysus invented the process of growing grapes and making wine. When he grew to manhood, Hera found him again and drove him to madness, which caused Dionysus to wander the Greek countryside in a state of endless madness. Luckily for the young god, the titaness Rhea found him and cured him of his madness, making him perfectly sane again.

Eventually, he would wander the countryside of his own accord, and in the process he gathered a following of men and women who worshipped him. They traveled through the mountains and the forests, holding amazing celebrations where they became ecstatic, dancing to frenzied music and singing the night away. On an alternate note, these celebrations always ended with extended periods of contemplative silences during with the followers connected and become one with the god Dionysus.

Awhile later Dionysus finally wanted to go back to Greece after much traveling. When he boarded a ship, he thought it was going to Greece to return him to his lovely home. However, mid-travel he unveiled the ship’s secret: it was actually a slave trade ship, and it was traveling not to Greece, but to Asia, where the crew was planning to sell Dionysus into slavery, mistaking him for a prince due to his good looks and fine robes. As soon as this was discovered, Dionysus called upon his powers, filling the boat with ivy and overtaking the fine wood with strong grape vines. However, although he was furious with these pirates, he was merciful; as the wretched men fell into the water and began to drown, he took pity on them, turning them into dolphins.

After returning home, his divinity was acknowledged, and he went to join the Gods on Mount Olympus. Even Hera agreed that he and his actions were beneficial and impossible to ignore.
