Chapter 1 - what did you think?

Is it true that one can be oneself only when alone or surrounded by people that are exactly the same? It appears to me that the author is stating we will disagree or annoy people by being ourselves, and hence why we feel surrounded by idiots all of the time.

Did you read the intro? Don't we all know that person who thinks the problem is everyone else - they genuinely believe they are surrounded by idiots!

Michael from my understanding of the book and day to day life, we all do things all the time that annoy people the book just outlines what those things may be and who may be annoyed by them

@Fran - definitely, I think that is what makes this a challenging book to discuss/debate. Who would be the people to write their colours on an open forum? Are they going to be open to other opinions or simply want to voice their own?

I see a red/yellow below (@Mackenzie) who has just shared their opinion, does this make them (by them, I include myself with the same colours) the evidence to suggest the book is correct, or is this similar to horoscopes and palm reading?
