Has anyone seen this? Despite its mixed reviews, I absolutely adored this. What did you think?

thanks for posting, kate. i was put off to some extent by the reviews, but was up for seeing it anyway. i have (for the most part) been too busy to see it, but hope to catch it before it leaves the theaters.
Yes Phillip. I can't be sure you will love it, but for me it was a lesson in not reading the reviews too closely.
I loved Away We Go. John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph were amazing.

i did get around to seeing this, and i put it on my top 10 films of 2009 list. i really liked the characters, they felt like people i know. a nice romantic comedy of sorts that deals with some actual contemporary issues.
i too liked this much more than i expected to. i think because it seemed less a romantic comedy and more a quest. a quest to find home.
Love it! So funny. You do have to be in the world of the movie or you can easily get bored. John & Maya were wonderful.
I was disappointed that this wasn't remembered with an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay (or acting nominations for that matter).
One of my all-time favorites. Endearing story about parenthood and about home, two themes that really resonated with me. Also, it is absolutely hilarious and the soundtrack is my fave. :)
