We are! The meetings just influence us to buy more books Teo!

Teodora | 359 comments Finished Kulti by Mariana Zapata and I actually liked it very much because even though the story felt true and also because the romance in it is subtle for like 85% of the book and I kind of liked that!

Also done with Sadie by Courtney Summers and I kind of have mixed feeling about it. The ending was nothing as I expected it to be but the story was well-written and the issues presented were real and brutal

message 153: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 802 comments I loved Sadie but it definitely does not give you a happy ever after ending.

Teodora | 359 comments I did like it, it really is good, but it just left me hanging you know :))

message 155: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments A bit ahead of the scheduled Vicious reading this month, but I have to say, this has been amazing
I can't wait to discuss this with everyone!

message 156: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments Okay so I had to put Evermore (Everless, #2) by Sara Holland back to the shelf for a while because I am in no mood to finish it I started The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1) by J.R.R. Tolkien and I am super excited!
I also started Love's Recipe by Mila Nicks (honestly) for the promise of good food 😂

message 158: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments Vicious was really good, I'm obsessed already haha
And so far, Love's Recipe is really nice!

message 159: by Elena (new)

Elena Granger | 1788 comments I've re-read The Fellowship of the Ring recently. So good! Love it even more now :)

Teodora | 359 comments So many people (re)read that these past days that I just felt like I'd be missing on something if I didn't try it too 😂 Not very far in but I will soon enough be able to make some progress

Teodora | 359 comments Just finished Love's Recipe by Mila Nicks and I really enjoyed it! It was full of flavour, actually and the story was quite nice and THE FOOD
I'd say it's worth a try just for the food! And also for the Princess and the Frog and New Orleans vibes

So glad you loved Vicious. It was my first VE Schwab book and I remember loving it. I'm going to join in the buddy read and re-read it as I wanna refresh my memory before reading book 2. I might be a few days delayed though as I've just got a book to beta read for a friend but it's only just over 200 pages so it should only take me a couple of days.

There is something so interesting about the way Schwab writes! Everyone is always excited about her books and honestly Vicious has been amazing! Can't wait for Vengeful, but also can't wait to see the discussion!

Elena Granger | 1788 comments Great you enjoyed the last one. I've been so into food-related stories recently. So appealing, just added to my TBR list.

I'll be starting my re-read in the next few days. I'm excited as I read it in 2016 so I'm sure there'll be lots that I've forgotten.

It was really sweet, even though it wasn't THAT extraordinary. It was a nice read, hope you'll enjoy it when you get to read it!

I am actually super excited that there is going to be a third Villains book, even though I haven't yet read Vengeful, but still! 😂

Vengeful is awesome, I hope you enjoy it! I'm so excited for a third Villains book even though it's going to be a while before it happens.

Oh is it going to be a 5 year wait like it was for Vengeful? I hope not. I can't cope waiting quite that long haha.

message 171: by Jo (new)

Jo Elliott | 1838 comments That's what she's said, those books take her a long time because of the a-linear timelines I think!

I'm not sure I can cope with waiting 5 years! LOL

Laura ☾ | 873 comments OMG NO I don't want to wait five years either!

message 174: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6447 comments Mod
If I had known that..... ah well. Please tell me Vengeful doesn't end on a cliffhanger at least?

message 175: by Jo (new)

Jo Elliott | 1838 comments Nope no cliffhanger. The ending wraps up in a way that there's enough to explore in a third book, but it feels like a contained story.

message 176: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6447 comments Mod
Perfect!

message 177: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments Omg guys five years??
And here I was thinking this woman skips breathing to write those books
At least after Vengeful we're not left hanging

message 178: by Jo (new)

Jo Elliott | 1838 comments Yeah, she has a lot of other projects upcoming though, so we'll have plenty to tide us over!

message 179: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments She really is a prolific writer huh

message 180: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments Just finished The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1) by J.R.R. Tolkien after abruptly deciding to join the hype and I actually liked it! It was different from what I thought it would be but it was a cosy and pleasant read!

message 181: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6447 comments Mod
I think that is the first time Ive heard LoTR described as cozy! But glad you enjoyed it Teo!!

message 182: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments No really!
I was reading it on my balcony where I keep my plants during summer and I was listening to soft classical music so it definitely gave me the cosy vibes!

I've never thought of LoTR as cozy, but that sounds incredible Teo! Lol. Definitely sounds cozy!

Well, with that atmosphere it was kind of hard not to be cosy even when everyone was getting in trouble! 😂

Sometimes we just need a bit of quality time with ourselves and doing thing the way we like them is the best way!

message 187: by Elena (new)

Elena Granger | 1788 comments @Teo Yes! The same feelings! I also find the LoTR very cozy and comfort read :)

Comfort read for sure but cozy was a different one for me! Not wrong though in some ways it sure is.

message 190: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments I just finished Lore Olympus, Season 1 by Rachel Smythe which was my first ever webcomic and I absolutely loved it! It was super entertaining and I loved the whole modern and dramatic touch to the Greek mythological world! Waiting for season 2 now!

Teodora | 359 comments Just finished Blood & Honey (Serpent & Dove, #2) by Shelby Mahurin and I am so not okay after that ending

The book was super good, suspenseful, twisty, but at the very end it just broke my heart and then it ended with a cliffhanger UGH

message 197: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6447 comments Mod
Oh no not a cliff hanger! Hate waiting for bad ones of those.
Glad you enjoyed the book. Enjoy putting your heart back together

Oh, I'm desperately glueing back the pieces
It was so very good though (except for that bloody ending!)

message 199: by Teodora (new)

Teodora | 359 comments I had to dnf Of Curses and Kisses (St. Rosetta's Academy, #1) by Sandhya Menon because I couldn't get into it at all, nothing really happened and it was also too cringe to keep going

message 200: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6447 comments Mod
Ouch! Hate when that happens. Better to dnf and move on to better things
