Teodora's 2020 Reading Challenge
Those rom coms are insanely entertaining, I don't know what is with them but they are so light and so easy to read! I think my exhausted student brain subconsciously asked me to read something like this and now it thanks me with bits of serotonin 😂

I absolutely loved 10 Blind Dates
I just finished
and it was pretty dramatic at the end, but overall it was kind of enjoyable. I liked it!
I just finished
and honestly, this is one of the best rom com novels I've ever read and I think I am going to add it to my favourite books shelf just because I would definitely read it again one day! It's been so much fun, I haven't laughed like that in a long time!
Brittany wrote: "That sounds fantastic Teo"It really was a great read and I wasn't expecting it to be so good, I'm super impressed with it 😂
I don't know if they're published in other countries but I really enjoy Paige Toon for a rom com author. I've also been loving those from Carrie Hope Fletcher. Those ones have a little hint of magic or paranormal to them as well though. Like one is a ghost love story based in a theatre. Super cute.

Yes 🤩
Paige Toon's books seem to have some great reviews so maybe they really are worth a try!
They're amazing!! Lucy in the Sky is amazing. I love them all they're so great. She even has a YA trilogy that's a spin off from one of her chick lit books.
Just finished
and I WANTED MORE OF ITIt is hands down one of the best I've read and it was so much deeper than I initially thought. I loved it!
Brittany wrote: "And then I go and try to cull it only to add more! It really is a vicious cycle"This is exactly what I did yesterday 😂😂
But it's so much fun! Not long time ago I wanted to add less books and cut some off my TBR. And felt really guilty about adding more and more. But now I realised that the process of adding new and reading both new and old books gives me so much joy, so I decided not to limit myself and do whatever I want. In the end I read for fun, so it should be fun.
True!! So trueI think it is becoming a hobby to search for new books to add to my tbr or to play god and decide which books remain on my shelves and which must go
It feels a bit like therapy 😂
Absolutely it should be fun Elena! I quite enjoy adding and subtracting books as well. I would like to make mine just a little smaller but it doesn't seem to work out that way and thats okay!
I've been the same. Since lockdown I have just been on a crazy buying spree but I'm determined that that is over now. My TBR has surpassed the number that I said I would not let it surpass.... oops.
Such a good hobby! :) I've also bought more books this year. But actually I don't feel bad about it. Since I saved lots on not spending on traveling and gas for my car, just decided that it'll be ok to spend much more on books and some extra professional soft for my job.
I just know that there is no way I'm ever going to be able to read them all and that makes me feel sad. I wish I could read them as fast as I buy them haha.

Now I want to spoil myself rotten with brand new editions 😂

It's practically impossible, especially because there are still interesting books to come! That's why I keep adding and then I go yolo 😂
@Kay @Teo So true! I agree with both of you. I also want to read more than I possibly can. And as I don't buy physical books, it's even harder to control the amount of books you already have. But I'm definitely going to read any book I have bought so far :)
That's the spirit, Elena! Read as more as you can and enjoy everything a book has to offer you, that's what my literature teacher used to say back when I was in high school
After all, the journey itself is important, not the destination, so that can apply to books too
I just broke my buying ban and it is totally Kay's fault lol.
I will never read every book I own nevermind all the ones I take out from the library or the kindle freebies. But that is okay, I will keep getting more anyway. And I'll eventually read all the ones I bought new, but the used ones some of them probably not.
Spoil yourself for a few of them then Teo!

I can't wait to go to a bookstore! I haven't been in ages and even though I read mostly on my tablet, I enjoy too much to lose myself between the shelves and to touch those fabulous covers! I think the staff from my favourite bookstore missed me these months, I might go surprise them with my presence and my money 😂
Me??? What did I do? (Also, I'm not even sorry haha)
For me, I practically only read physical copies so I need to stop buying until I've read some and got rid of them so I have the space for others. When I read books I decide if I'm not going to read them again they go in a pile to go and not back on the shelves.

I also have the tendency to banish from my shelves the books I didn't like or I don't feel like reading anymore. I usually give them away if I think someone I know might like them, but sometimes I bring them to used bookstores and I also get some money back on them because I take care of my books so they are still worth good money 😂
I've gotten better about getting rid of more books. Anytime I reorganize my shelves I get rid of most. I donate mine back to the Children's hospital. They do huge used booksales here 2-3 times a year. Its where I get most of my books from. I really missed the big one in April. Although it has helped me clear my shelves a teeny bit....
Lol! I know you aren't sorry Kay! I'd do the same to you so can't really say much. I can only imagine how many books we are going to buy when the world returns to some form of normalcy and I can visit!
