The family may object, but Kaylie is old enough to choose where she wants to live. Levi had broke away from the family and some of their prepper ways. But the family may go to court to have Kaylie stay with them. It should be interesting.
Kaylie's old enough to make that choice and it was Levi’s dying wish. I don’t think Mercy’s parents will fight her over this, especially as she’s moving back close to home. It’s the right thing to do and the Kilpatrick’s would never want this settle by a court of law.
I don't know. Mercy's dad may voice an objection, and use it to pull the family further from Mercy. Kaylie admires Mercy too much to side with the family though. She wants what Mercy has, a career and independence. They won't battle her in court though.
I don't think they'd object after all that has gone down. Mercy being a Guardian for her niece will be a great storyline moving forward. Lots of emotional tension with a teenager.
I'm not sure on this one. I could see Mercy's dad exerting his "authority" and demanding Kaylie live with them. But I agree that he would want to avoid government interference as he has no respect for them. This one just isn't black or white to me.
