I was shocked and upset when Levi died. Yes, he screwed up by involving Craig Rafferty in hiding the body. Yes, his relationship with Mercy would have suffered because of his silence. But I just hated to see him killed for that screw up.
I thought it was probably inevitable that the author solved many future relationship problems by "killing off" Levi.
I was really surprised when he died but it did solve the relationship issue. Levi was already suffering from guilt and after what happened to Rose, it would have crushed him even more.
I really didn’t want him to die. He was redeemable.

I was surprised. Mercy and Rose would have resolved the relationship issue. Rose is too loving to let him hurt for too long. I didn't want him to die. To me it was an easy way out of the story line. I agree with Jonetta, he was redeemable.

You guys are right. It was a convenient way to resolve that storyline. Too bad since mending their relationship could have stretched through the rest of the series.
I was surprised by that. It would have made a good ongoing storyline, Levi and Mercy working through their problems. Although now Mercy becoming Kaylie's Guardian will also be a good part of the emotional storyline moving forward.

My thoughts exactly. I was a bit disappointed that the author went this route.

I was very surprised at Levi's death. It did resolve the relationship and his guilt; however, with him gone and Kaylie living with Mercy, it will add another layer to Mercy's character as she navigates that relationship.
