The foreshadowing that I mentioned in my previous journal is once again mentioned. The bleakness of the details continues throughout the story, reminding me of the war times in which the story takes place. Furthermore, as I continue to read, I can not help but draw comparisons between the main protagonist and Katniss Everdeen. The protagonist has abilities which she does not want, and they have placed in a higher society where she feels she doesn't belong. Though, Alina isn't as likable as a character. I believe we are supposed to feel sympathy with the protagonist, but I can not seem to care for her "problems." I want to see how she deals with her problems. Let's see if we get some character growth.
