I agree, Rebecca, I was the same way. I was doing a lot of dog walking during the pandemic, and the series was perfect for it!

I love these books, and you are coming up on my favorite Memory and my other favorite A Civil Campaign. Some days the one is my favorite, sometimes the other. This is my favorite series ever

I also really like what Lee said about how Miles' relationships moved forward in this book: I also think that was one of the major plot points with Miles - him realising he might just need someone in his life for keeps who not only accepts him due to his disabilities but accepts both his personas; someone who will understand the loyalty and love he has for Barrayar also and again, this is not Ellie. I don't know if your prediction is right but I really liked reading your post and thinking a bit more about the evolution of Miles as a romantic interest (something I really hadn't done yet, I get easily distracted by all the fun war games, politics, etc.)
I couldn't wait to finish work, get by dog on her leash, and listen to this book during a good, long walk. I've loved reading this series and I can't imagine how it can get better.
