i think that if you were to subtract Dumbledore and Sirius from the equation, it would be highly possible;e that harry would turn out evil.
Yep. But they both have big parts (of course! they influence Harry to be good...).
yeah, if you were to eliminate that whole pep talk Sirius gave harry in the 5th book, harry would continue to think he was turning evil, which would have weakened him and eventually, he would turn evil.
Hm.... But guess what? I was just reading Harry Potter 1# and this is what happened:... "You're mad!" said Ron. "You can't!" Hermione said,"After what Mcgonnagall and Snape have said? You'll be expelled!""SO WHAT?" Harry shouted," Don't you understand? If Snape gets hold of the sorcerers stone Voldermort's coming back! Haven't you heard what hes like when he was trying to take over?.....If I get caught before I can get to the Stone, well, I'll go back to the Dursley's and wait for Voldemort to find me there. It's only dying a bit later than I would have because I'm never going to the dark side!...Voldemort killed my parents, remember?"

Well sort of. I was saying that Harry would never go onto the Dark Side with Voldemort, before he met Sirius and actually got to know Dumbledore and it was his first year being and knowing he was a wizard.

he wouldn't let Ron and Hermione tell harry anything and avoided him the entire book. i know he told his reasons, but i don't think "caring about him" is enough!

Yes, well HP 5 is one of my least favorites. It's a LITTLE to dark for me. Anyways.....:)

just a thought but maybe you shouldnt have the part about harry being the last horcux right in the title of the discussion... i know most people have read the series... several times lol its just a thought tho :D

Not only is harry good because of the influences he recieved early on but because he was born with those genes from his mother. Harry proves that the voldermorts soul has not effected him because he could have easily become invinsible with the deathly hallows all in his grasp but he chose not to. What i dont get is, Harry and all the others were affected by the locket yet he didnt feel that way all the time even though that was part of him too (the horocrux).... confused?
