MaryG2E (goodreadscommaryg2e) | 934 comments Fifty Australian books in a year - that's quite an achievement! And there is still a whole month yet, as Brenda has rightly pointed out!! Could you make 60 by 31 December? You go girl!

Lol, maybe if I were only reading Aussie authors exclusively Mary, but I have a few others I've committed to reading for challenges also ;)

I have enjoyed them all so much that I think I will continue this challenge in 2016 also, we have some terrific local talent here which I love to showcase where I can :)

Can see it's going to be a race for the finish. Never mind the Christmas shopping get those reviews done and those books read :)

There are some great Aussie authors, aren't there. I read quite a few new ones this year and there are heaps more on my tbr list. I could spend the whole year happily immersed in Aussie books but unfortunately there are other good writers out there too!

We certainly have a lot of talent in our Aussie writers...they are only just getting recognised too..it's been a long road for them, and I think it'll continue for awhile yet! But we'll always have our Aussie author challenges won't we;)

MaryG2E (goodreadscommaryg2e) | 934 comments The Aussie Readers Australian Authors challenges have been most illuminating for me Brenda. I gained knowledge of and exposure to a much wider range of home-grown talent than I'd ever imagined. Like you and Jools, I'm going to continue in 2016 to read a substantial number of them. Making up a tentative list now.

Good on you! Don't forget there'll be an Annual Aussie author challenge released soon for next year too...hopefully they'll fit where you want them:)

And you can do one of these too Mary if you want to, that way you can put them all in regardless of genre or gender ;) and it's a good way to keep a list of them.

I'm going to keep going with this one Brenda...I will start again in the New Year. I really enjoy our Aussie authors and this keeps me seeking out more new ones as well as enjoying other non local authors at the same time :)
