What a great game! I could not tear myself away from the telly! It was such a fast and physical game and the ball moved from one goal square to the other with lightning speed. Although the score above looks like the Lions were comfortable, that wasn't the case. The Tigers got to within 9 points in the final quarter. It looks like Richmond will be heading to Adelaide to front up against Port, while the Lions will stay snug at home on their own ground.

It goes against the grain for me to barrack for Collingwood but you just had to be with them tonight. There was a crowd of 35000 there tonight and all but a 100 of them were yelling for the Eagles. A point up with a minute and a half to go was real heart attack territory. So bye-bye Doggies and Eagles.

What a rout! I think the Pies gave everything they had last week in Perth. Add to that the long flight back to Brisbane and they were a spent force before they took the field. So the top four teams in the home and away season will fight it out next week.

Mother's in a kinda 'halfway house' care home awaiting an assessment. Physically she can get around with a bit of help but mentally.... not very good I'm afraid. Constantly agitated and wanting to go places/do things but doesn't know what they actually are. Pretty sure she doesn't even recognize me anymore.
It's a dodgy situation at this care-home place that she's in. Nobody is allowed to see her - Covid precautions - yet, get this, they asked if we could take her from the home to the hospital for a scan - a job I'm sure they should be doing but on the flip side at least we got to see her. How'd they work that one out then? We can't go in to see her in case we may have the virus yet it's ok to be in the same car!! WTF? And to top it all off.. tho we got her to the hospital ok (apart from the odd funny look because she kept removing her mask) when it came to doing the scan they couldn't do it because she refused to lie down or even stay still... to the point of yelling out Sent us away. So it wuz all for nowt in any case!
Y'know the bastards representing the home were already onto us telling us to sell her house - to pay for her care - before she'd even left the hospital!! Why is it always money, money friggin money over health? Pardon me French but it's a tad frustrating.
I'm not looking forward to getting any older. The four big lurks when it comes to money-grubbing: childcare, aged care, disability care and post-secondary education. How companies are allowed to make profits (and earn huge government subsidies at the same time) in these areas is beyond me. I feel for you Blastro. I can't even begin to imagine all the emotional distress your mother's care and well-being are causing you.
