I read this book years ago. Girl learns she has powers and was the daughter of a light fey queen and a dark fey king who were both killed. Her uncle who is now the dark fey king trains her to defeat the fey queen who also used her power to destroy a city (La I think). She ends up falling for the guy who is supposed to hand her back for access to homeland that they were exiled from. Sound familiar?

Read a book about 3/4 years ago: a young girl learns that she has powers after getting angry and destroying her school gymnasium. She is sent to a private school for troubled teens where she falls for a young teacher who turns out to be a type of fae that is tracking her. She somehow ends up in a fae land where she learns the queen is actually her aunt and wants to use her powers to destroy the world. Her and the guy end up falling for each other and now he has to protect her from his psycho brother and ex girlfriend. Sound familiar at all?"
