One of the most exciting things about this portion of the book is that the racial hierarchy that is present in this story is more profound than I first realized. At first, it was explained that being at the top was a gracious and beautiful thing, but as you continue to read, it is exposed to be a beautiful lie. Even the top of the food chain has a class system inside of itself. Also, there might have been foreshadowing concerning the survival of this class system. I am slowly grasping the world, and its term, which allows me to enjoy the book more. Lastly, I am saddened by the lack of intricate descriptions when describing the very minimal magic in the book. I hope to see more elaborate descriptions, and I am very excited for the character development.
