Nate is a nerdy 13-year-old boy from a small town in Pennsylvania who has big dreams of starring on Broadway. When he finds out about an open casting call for the Broadway musical version of E.T., he and his best friend concoct a plan to sneak him away to New York to audition.

Fun little book! Nate's hopes, dreams and fears are all there for the reader to share, as well as each stumble as we go along for the ride. I can't help but wonder how true to the experience of a Broadway audition this is, what is real and what is exaggerated for comedic effect.
