Evan was sitting on the porch of his cabin, leaning back on his hands. It'd been a quiet day, so far. He wasn't quite sure if that was a good or bad thing. It could easily be either, knowing the camp.
Alice burst out of the Hephaestus cabin, pulling Kacie out along with her. She took a deep breath of the fresh air, loving the look of sunlight dancing across the tops of the other cabins. She noticed someone sitting by their cabin, and tried to get a closer look. "Hello?"
Hearing someone, Evan looked their way. He didn't answer at first, not quite knowing if the girl was talking to him or someone else. She was looking his way and he didn't see many people out, so.. "Hi?" He called back, still not a hundred percent sure that her 'Hello' had been aimed at him.
Alice stepped towards the unfamiliar face, waving her hand awkwardly. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you."
"You didn't," Evan assured her, sitting upright. He rested his hands in his lap and told her, "I wasn't really doing anything, so yeah.." Wow, this was awkward. "What's your name?"
"Oh, right." Alice stuffed her left hand in her pocket, keeping her curse as far away from him as possible. "I'm Alice, daughter of Hades..." She mumbled the last part, so it was barely audible, but stuck her other hand out to the camper.
Daughter of who? Evan hadn't been able to catch the last part. He frowned faintly, but quickly tried to hide it. Shaking her hand, he introduced himself, "I'm Evan, son of Hemera. Nice to meet you, Alice, daughter of.." He trailed off, trying to politely prompt her to repeat who her parent was, so he could hear it this time.
Hemera, sunlight. Hades, shadows. Alice didn't want to tell Evan, but there was no way she could continue conversation normally. "Hades, I'm a daughter of Hades." She shuffled her feet and shifted uncomfortably.
Hades? Well then.. That had not quite been what Evan was expecting. Wait, what had he even been expecting? Heck if he knew. Just not Hades. He tried hard to keep the surprise off of his face, not wanting to offend her. That would not be good. "Nice to meet you," he said, then instantly realized that he'd already said that. Evan mentally facepalmed.
Oh Gods, he hates me... "You said that already." Alice laughed lightly, trying to pass some of the tension. She pushed some of her black hair away from her face.
Evan was eighty-percent sure that he was blushing from embarrassment. "Right, I did." He tried to laugh along with her, but now he was mentally slamming his head into a desk. This was not going very well. "Sooooo," he stretched out the word, trying to keep away any awkward silence that might happen, "what brings you to the Hemera cabin, Miss Alice?"
Alice was thankful for the question. "Well, Mr. Evan, I was escaping the deadly chemicals of the Hephaestus cabin." She shot a glare over her shoulder at Kacie.
That earned a small laugh from Evan. The brunette grinned slightly and followed Alice's gaze to the other girl, taking a guess that she was a Hephaestus kid. "That sounds.. fun. Kind of. Aside from the whole deadly chemicals thing."
Alice giggled. "It wasn't that fun." She looked around the Hemera cabin porch, completely empty except for Evan. "So what drove you out here?"
Evan shifted slightly again, answering, "I like being outside. I'd rather sit out here on the porch than be inside." If he was honest, Evan only went inside when he had to, or when it got dark out. He enjoyed the daylight, partially because of who his mother was.
"I'm the same way." Alice smiled, and forced her left hand farther behind her back. Hades had left his permanent mark on her, a constant reminder of her eternal burden, and she hated him for it.

((It's fine!))
Really? Evan thought, surprised again. It probably showed on his face, but there wasn't much he could do about that, though he still tried to hide it. "What do you like to do outdoors?" He asked, curious. He hadn't seemed to notice her moving her hand away from him. If he had, he didn't appear to care.

"Just walking." Alice shrugged, and could see Evan's amazement. "Um, yeah, I know. I'm not a goth chic like everyone expects me to be."
How was he supposed to respond to that? "That's not a bad thing," he said, trying not be weird or make things awkward. That would suck. "It's..cool." Did that sound like a lie? He really hoped that didn't sound like a lie.
Evan smiled and held back a small laugh. "You're good at it," he told her, then hurriedly added, not wanting her to misunderstand him or take it in a bad way, "In a good way." He mentally facepalmed. Again. Good grief, he was hopeless.
Alice laughed. "Well I sure hope so!" Her brother had always been the mysterious, moody stereo-type teenage son of Hades. He lurked in the shadows and didn't speak of their past, but Alice wanted more than I life in darkness.
Kacie came out of her daydream she remembered where she was and blushed "oh my gosh i am so sorry i drift away sometimes, Kacie daughter of hephaestus." She smiled at David. She hated how she would totally drift away and not notice anything ((sorry guys i was doing math))
((This is Evan. I know, I have a lot of charries. XD And all my guys ones are hot, apparently.))
Evan's smile grew. Maybe this daughter of Hades wasn't too bad, after all. He looked over at the Hephaestus girl and politely nodded. ((Gods, all of my characters like nodding.)) "Nice to meet you, Kacie."
"It's nice to meet you too Evan" Kaci smiled. She wished there were more people at the camp her age everybody else acted like older brother or sister to her. She was super tall though and everybody thought she was older
((Kacie's tall? Luckyyy. I'm a shortie.))
((I would put a post, but now I don't know what to type.. Curse you, Evan, for being so awkward.))
((Wanna continue Mist-Cali?))

Alice internally hit her head against a wall. "Oh! I'm so rude. Kacie, Evan. Evan, Kacie." She gestured between the two of them. She hated how awkward this situation was. Alice didn't even know why it was so awkward, but there was too much tension. "So Kacie, you like deadly chemicals." Alice blurted out without thinking, a need to change the subject. She again mentally slapped herself.
Kacie laughed "i don't like deadly chemicals but if you're going to be a child of hephaestus than you will start to get use to them." Kacie wondered where that came from. Her workspace got cleaned every two weeks if she had time. It was mostly her and Leya in the cabin so it wasn't really THAT messy or stinky. She didn't mind the question though because Alice was her best friend but if anyone else had said that they would have gotten a whack upside the head with a shoe. She looked at Ethan and smiled brightly. "i'm not very familiar with your mother can you explain a bit. I am quite hopeless when it comes to most gods and goddesses."
"She's kind of the goddess of daytime." Alice sighed and placed her hand on her hip, turning to Kacie.
"Yeah, of course you did." Alice shot a look at her best friend before jabbing her in the ribs lightly with her fingers.
((HI!!)) Ow kacie thought as she laughed. "Stinker" Kacie liked the smell of the hemera cabin. It smelled like breakfast something she hadnt had time for in a long time
((GOOD I FINISHED ALL MY LESSON EARLY YAY sorry for late post had to eat))"Yes i am" Kacie smirked she was very happy to be outside. she couldnt remember the last time she had been outside since cache died
Evan sat on the porch, watching the girls talk. He didn't feel as awkward as he had before, but he still felt awkward.
((The Hemera cabin smells like breakfast? Awesome.))
((The Hemera cabin smells like breakfast? Awesome.))
((Dat's fine YAY FOR YOU! HI IZZY!))Alice realized that they had completely carried on conversation without Evan. "So you guys wanna do anything?"
((well sunshine always smells like breakfast to me lol))Kaie remembered her manners and smiled at Ethan "When were you claimed?" Kacie asked. Claiming stories were always the best. " I lit on fire and someone put me out with a fire extinguisher in school i was homeschooled after that then i came here"
Kacie smiled remembering the good ole days with her sister Lucy then she put that thought out of her mind
