Ina (inawillems) | 15 comments I felt very attached to Lisa in these chapters. Obviously, she is missing all the red flags that you can see as an outsider, but it really shows how difficult it is so notice the red flags when you are in an abusive relationship. I don't hate all the sex scenes: I works for the story, he has nothing to offer emotionally, she he has to make her feel loved and special in a physical way. I also assume that Matty isn't a doctor, but he is going to act like he is giving up his job to be more with her, making her feel guilty and again: showing her that he is a good man.

Kate | 15 comments This book is definitely not what I was expecting-- another fast-paced thriller along the lines of THE OTHER PEOPLE-- but I think it is pretty good. I enjoyed the first part where they explored a bunch of characters at the train station, but found this section much easier to follow as it was way more focused. Matty is definitely a creep, and I don't think anything about him is as it seems. Several people have expressed doubts about whether he is telling the truth. I'm guessing he is the one who ultimately killed Lisa, but I am curious to see how he goes from possessive and creepy to murderous.
