The chapters are very long, so I can understand how many people are finding it slow. I don't know about you, but when a book has long chapters I often have a hard time getting through it.
I did make a note that if I was reading this instead of listening to the audiobook I probably would be having a hard time.
The gruesome details are a little cringy, and that's my thing (Stephen King is my fav author).
I like the deeper conversation themes of sexism and racism. Feeling very bad for Dalmar who is trying to be invisible.
* Trigger warnings so far: swearing, suicide, gruesome, grief
The descriptions of the ghost traveling around Peterborough are super boring...but I'm still very curious to see where this is heading.

Me too

I seen foward to see what happen next.
I listen to the audiobook.

I have barely picked up a book for the last week. There is no way I'd be able to push my way through this one. But I found out I'm out of work for a minimum of 6 weeks so I think the stress is distracting me too much. I imagine tons of people are too anxious to sit down and read lately.

I was initially guessing Caleb was an old boyfriend who grieved for her death, but I’m not so sure anymore. Also I thought Dalmar was going to be a focus, but then he wasn’t.
I need to know more...

I also haven't really connected with Lisa's character yet.

I am skimming a lot because the book doesn't really hold my attention. I feel like some of the details are not need it, but then maybe they are? What about the cat, he says it's possession not love. I wonder if that means something. And then the lady in orange, first I thought why emphasise how orange it is but then they she turns up again. Is she a ghost? And what is this tadpole like creature, also a ghost or something more sinister? I guess for now I'm going to continue reading a bit and see if those question getting answered.

We’ll see how it goes but I have a feeling this is more mystery based domestic thriller than an action packed adventure. I’m enjoying it so far!
