Lighten Your TBR Shelf Reading Challenge

Thanks to Herzl for coming up with this fun challenge idea!

Goal: work towards reading books from your TBR book shelf!

Duration: each month there will be a set of prompts, and you will have that month to complete at least two of those prompts

This is an individual challenge; but overall books read/books read each month/total prompts completed each month and overall will be tracked so we can see who the top TBR clearer is!

How It Will Work:

1) YOU, members of the Bookish Worms Group, will suggest UNIQUE prompts that you think could help you and other people clean out their TBR shelves, or just prompts that you think will be challenging and fun to do. Suggest as many prompts as you would like!

2) Whenever you think of a good prompt, add it to the prompt list; see prompt guidelines below

3) A few days before the start of the month, I will use a website to randomly pick 4-5 prompts from the overall list. These will be put into a separate thread for that month, and a recap of instructions will be listed there also.

4) Then, start reading books, (on the first day of the month) from your TBR pile that fit the prompts. Everyone participating should try to complete at least 2 of the prompts, but feel free to do more!

5) At the top of each thread for that month I will track who is participating and how many books/prompts they have completed.

*There will be a date you need to sign up by to participate in that month, but if you do not sign up in time, no worries, just make sure to sign up for the next month. I will send out a reminder to sign up if you want to participate. The night after sign ups close (the next day; Eastern US time) will be when the challenge starts for all those participating!

Some extra rules:
1. Prompts can be completed more than once, but with different books
2. You can only use a book once (ex. you can't use the same book for two different prompts)
3. Books are not required to be YA, they can be anything you want to read from you TBR shelf
4. As of right now, rereads are allowed, (since many people are quarantined and unable to get books, this allows them to still participate) but it has to have been over 1 year since the last read of that book.

COMPLETION POST FORMAT:

Please use this format to show that you have completed a book and prompt; you can still keep a “master list” of the prompts for that month on the thread to help you keep track, but please also post this so that I can record the number of books read/prompts completed.

Feel free to copy and paste when posting a completion post:
