The Widows of Malabar Hill question

As you begin reading the book, what are your initial thoughts? Is it easy or hard to get into? Why? Do you find the Indian words hard to understand? (There is a glossary at the back of the book that comes in handy, although it doesn't have everything in it.)

Personally, I have made it up to page 68. I found it slow-going at first, and I did find the Indian works bogged me down a bit. However, it didn't take long to pick up my pace.
