Jace kept playing with Ace. He smiled seeing how happy Ace seemed.

The officer comes up to him "you and ace are a good match."
Jace smiled. "Yeah. My daughter actually chose him out of the dogs at the training center." He kept playing with Ace.
"Just be carful they dont get too close. Its your first time with a dog so ill be the one to tell you this. Hes your shield and a tool to us. Not a house pet. Maybe look into getting another dog to be hers?" The officer offers to him as she loads up her own police dog, a Labrador
Jace nodded. "Okay. I'll talk to her about it." He replied. He let go of the toy and opened the door to the backseat of his car.
Ace shakes the toy around a bit then jumps into the car.Officer trace offers a smile "the first dog is always the best one" she says as she shuts the door on her cruiser
Jace smiled. He hopped in the driver's seat and started the car. He checked his watch. It was 7 when he was called and it was noon now. He drove back toward home.
Ace makes himself comfy for the rideLiz is watching tv and eatting a Sandwich when they return
Jace pulled into the driveway. He took off aces gear and took Ace inside.
Liz smiles "hey buddy." She says to ace. She then looks up at jace "howd it go?"
"Good. Ace did really good." Jace told her. He smiled slightly, thinking.
"Thats good" she says with a nod as ace goes over to the couch
"What would you think about getting another dog?" He asked.
"Really? " she asks with a smile "but we already have ace. I mean another dog would be pretty awesome though"
"Well Ace is a police K-9 so I thought maybe you would like having another dog." Jace smiled, glad that she liked the idea.
"That would be pretty awesome. And then ace would have a buddy to play with" she says
"Yeah, it would." Jace smiled watching as Ace curled up on the couch, falling asleep.
"At how lazy he is you would never know hes a police dog" she says with a giggle
"Well he caught a suspect that tried to run, and then sniffed out two bundles. So he has reason to be tired." Jace replied, petting Ace.
Liz smiles "good job ace. You dont fool around"
Jace smiled. He went upstairs and changed out of his uniform.
Jace came back down, talking on his phone.
Jace stayed in the kitchen, talking on the phone.
She glances at him, wondering who he might be talking to
Jace kept talking for another minute before hanging up. He walked into the living room.
"The person from the adoption place." Jace replied. "She wanted to see how you were doing."
She nods "cool" she says simply and she pets ace "could we get another big dog?" She asks. For some reason a big dog like ace made her feel safer
"Sure. Like what breed though?" Jace asked, sitting down on the couch.
"Think we could do another gernan Shephard?" She asks hopefully
"We could. We would have to make sure that they will get along with Ace though."
Jace smiled, petting Ace. "Well maybe soon we can go look at dogs."
She smiles "you'll have a play mate buddy" she says as she hugs ace
"That will probably be good for him. " Jace said softly.
Liz smiles as ace gets up to go get a drink "oh...i should probably tell you that i kind of threw up again this morning." She says softly
"are you okay?" Jace asked her softly. He was worried. She had thrown up two days in a row now.
"I dont know. But it was causes by the taste of food both times. The toast tasted funny this morning. Like the popcorn did last night" she says with a shrug
"Hmm. Well I tried the popcorn last night and it didn't taste weird to me." Jace kept thinking to himself trying to figure out what might be wrong with Liz.
Liz shrugs "im not sure" she says, lying slighyly. She wouldn't let herself admit the real possibility of being pregnant
Jace nodded. "Okay." He kept thinking. Her being pregnant didn't even cross his mind.
Jace smiled slightly and watched her flip through the channels.
"So when could we go look at dogs? " she asks
"Either today or tomorrow." Jace replied.
"Could we go today? Please, jace?" She begs excitedly
"Sure. Do you want to go right now?" He asked
