Well I probably won’t finish The Martian, can’t concentrate right now. Went back to work, my husband and I have filed for separation and I’ll be moving in a week. New library for me. Thankful for wonderful friends in this group!
Looking forward to summer and new beginnings!

Good luck with everything, Danell. Thankful for your friendship. Don’t hesitate to post or email if you need to talk/vent. Sending hugs and good vibes your way. xoxo
I think we all are feeling the same way you are, Rachel. Thanks for keeping the seasonal challenges going. I've given up on my book clubs that used to meet in person. We tried it with Zoom and it wasn't for me. So I'm going to concentrate on our summer challenge, read what I have at home (which is a lot) and continue to stay healthy. Thank goodness the weather is getting better. My reading mojo is back. I've got two to add to my spring challenge. I finished Southern Book Club. That turned gruesome. Wow! It was an entertaining read but I wasn't expecting how dark it turned. I also read
. I really liked that one. It is one of Reese's books. The descriptions were so vivid and it could transport me to another place and time, a good thing is these bizarre times we live.Rachel, I am so grateful for your inventive challenges. They keep life interesting and help me to rediscover the books I already have on my shelves. Thank you! Thank you!!!
Thanks for checking in and for the updates, everyone. The summer challenge will be posted soon.
Stay safe! Wishing you all good health.
xoxo

I'm trying to get the following two books completed by the end of the month. These had been at the library since March and I just picked them up last week. I'm enjoying both of them, would recommend them both from what I've read so far. They're both authors who had birthdays this Spring - Ottessa Moshfegh and Liz Moore. Both titles have "World" in the title - I enjoy visiting other worlds through reading!

The Unseen World has been on my tbr for a while so glad to hear more good things about it. I added Homesick for Another World. Thanks for the recommendations. :D
Alrighty, I have finished reading The Unseen World and finished my Spring Reading Challenge with 14 books.
If I do finish The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires, this weekend, I'll add that one and update my goal to 15 - but I don't want too much pressure you know :-)

Congrats on completing the challenge, Dustin! :D
I finished The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires today. Updated my Spring Challenge to 15 books.
Happy Birthday Danell!I finished
Wow it was hard to find a book on my shelves that fit ASPCA. Its a fun book if you like The Peregrine's Children series and fairy tales. That's how they read.
Trying to finish one more book for the challenge.

No, I didn’t. I’ve got just a few pages left of The Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman. It’s pretty good. It will definitely be done by the time we start the Summer challenge
I like the title. Admittedly, I do sometimes judge a book by the title :-)
I wasn't sure I'd get the Southern Book Club finished, but I'm glad I was able to get it done.
It's nice to have these couple of days between the challenges to tie up some odds and ends.

Great minds think alike.
I was looking last night at books I wanted to read for the Summer Reading Challenge. I was looking at The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse and really liked the book cover that is prominently featured on Goodreads:
but when I looked for a used copy on Amazon, they all seemed to be this one:
