Emory Black (emoryblack) I'm new to this group, but I'll try for the Laid Back Level:

1. Non-Fiction - Crime & Punishment: Offenders and victims in a broken justice system by Russell Marks
2. Short Stories - Peripheral Vision: Stories by Paddy O'Reilly
3. Autobiography - Am I Black Enough For You? by Anita Heiss
4. History - Forgotten War by Henry Reynolds
5. Science Fiction - The Swan Book by Alexis Wright
6. True Crime - Tall Man: The Death of Doomadgee by Chloe Hooper
7. Anthology - A Country Too Far by many
8. Feminist Theory - The Sex Myth: The Gap Between Our Fantasies and Reality by Rachel Hills
9. Historical Fiction - Sister Kate by Jean Bedford
10. Politics - Scorcher: The Dirty Politics Of Climate Change by Clive Hamilton
11. Horror - Red Queen by Honey Brown
12. Crime Fiction - Peepshow by Leigh Redhead

Coming up with that list was a lot harder than I thought it would be! I'm open to suggestions for the last three if anyone wants to message me :).

Welcome Kiera:)

#5 could go down to #12, as Fiction isn't actually a genre:) Then you could choose a different genre there.

If you go through the different threads in the group you'll pick up ideas on genres/recommendations for different genres etc.

And check out our Bookshelf - top right hand side of this page - we have a lot of books of varying genres there which you might be interested in. All Aussie authors of course:)

Thanks Brenda, I've edited my list! I spent hours last night combing through websites and Googling haha. I'll have another look later today :). I've got a lot of Australian books but they're nearly all non-fiction. I'll see if there's any fiction novels that take my fancy :).

Honey Brown won Aurealis award for best horror novel in 2009 with Red Queen.

It's a brilliant book Keira. Highly recommend it :)

I agree with Mish Red Queen is brillant - I avoid Horror as much as I can but this one was brilliant - didn't even realise it was horror until the horrible bits started and then I was so engrossed in the story I couldn't pull out, had to keep reading!

It is very short Anna - try to find another if you can; but if not the rules were changed in the middle of this particular challenge so we won't be too hard on you:)
