Ok so I read this book about a decade ago but it was a well worn book from the library back then so it's probably older than that. I've tried searching my library again but not being able to remember the title or author makes it pretty difficult to find. I do remember it was a period romance. The heroine is stuck in a marriage of convenience with a guy but decides to try and seduce him. I know there was a scene with a plum and that the man refuses to love anyone since he killed the wrong man in a duel. I also know some of the scenes are a little fifty shades of grey-esque. If this rings any bells with anyone, I would love to remember the name of this novel.
