Imprint or Series?

I believe that would be considered an imprint. The kind thing to do is to create a Listopia that covers the 'series', then delete it.
They appear to have a common theme, rather than common characters or locations. That makes them an imprint. Z-squared's suggestion on how to handle such imprints is good.
Only someone who truly desires to create a listopia should do so. Otherwise it just clutters up the lists. Probably for every listopia that gets created this way, 5 identical listopias already exist.
OMG I've also been working under the impression that those were a type of series. Just when I thought I was near to the finish line with Jane Porter, a bomb drops like this. So 'series' such as these:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/1340...
https://www.goodreads.com/series/1426...
should be deleted?
Though on the Mills & Boons site these are listed as a miniseries.

Yup.

Yup.
Oh bless my soul rivka! I cannot delete them myself, someone has to do them for me because for some of these imprints I actually systematically checked and added into the books.
Is this an imprint or a series?https://www.goodreads.com/series/5349...
They're all by the same author.
I'd be very hesitant to delete this one without definite evidence to the contrary. That's a LOT of books, with many editions of each having series data in the title line. So a lot of work to remove (and add back, if needed). And it does seem to apply to all the many different editions of each work.
Oh, yes, sorry, I should have left a response. I looked into it after your reply, but couldn't definitively prove whether or not there were any overlapping characters. On the one hand, it appears that each book has a different central couple, but there could still be references to the others that only someone who has read the books would know. So, I definitely wouldn't delete unless someone who had read the series certified that there were no such connections.

No worries. I actually was responding to someone else's comment, but I guess they reconsidered.

its a series in that its a theme set of stories by the same author - settlers in the different US states, but not interconnected
however, I think there is a harlequin presents group on GR who may have had someone read more recently
Hmm, I'll look into it over there, thank you for the tip! :)How about this:

I'm pretty sure it's just got common themes.
Three books by a single author can easily have common characters. Authors do it a lot, especially romance authors.
Edit: Yup. I searched in the third book (using the Preview feature) for Christos, the male lead in the first book. One of the results says the 3 guys (one from each book) have a joint business venture.

True... I'd probably have to find someone who has read this series, too, then, as the publisher's site doesn't turn anything more up than was already on the records. Thank you for your input!
I'm pretty positive that GR would not consider this a series, but since there's so many books, I wanted to get a second (and even a third and fourth) opinion first:https://www.goodreads.com/series/6248...

Alex, to me, this is like a Time-Life series which we do leave as a series.
Monique wrote: "Alex, to me, this is like a Time-Life series which we do leave as a series."I looked into Time-Life series, and they do seem to be of the same type, but then should this not also apply to series such as the Cambridge Companion to... (Philosophy, Literature, etc.) series? Is it that those series have not been created yet when they should, or that the exception only applies to Time-Life series?
Not a series. Does not apply to all editions of some of those works. (e.g. https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio... https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...)
I've created the listopia list, here:https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/8...
But I can't add the last 57 books from the series, as I can only vote for 100. The books that are missing are the ones on this page:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/6248...
Could someone please add them so that the series can be deleted?
ETA: References to the series removed from titles. Deletion ready pending list completion.
re 34: Thank you Monique! Series deleted.I'm pretty sure it's an imprint, but I'd prefer to get a second opinion: https://www.goodreads.com/series/5746...

Alex, there are often series within imprints like this, especially for Harlequin and the old Loveswept. I'd leave this as a series as it appears the books are connected.
Monique wrote: "I'd leave this as a series as it appears the books are connected."I looked as well, but couldn't find any connection. What makes you think so? The author's introductory note from the preview of Sweet Tibby Mack indicates that the series (described as "in-series promotion") is about matchmakers and matchmaking, but there's no indication that there are any common characters.

So, basically, should things like the one linked above be considered series or imprints?
