What challenges and distractions have you faced?
- I had an awful sinus thing going on over the weekend, which definitely made me less productive than I wanted to be.
What has been your favorite part so far?
- I love being reminded that I enjoy reading. Sometimes it can feel like a chore, but this Read-A-Thon has really reminded me why I enjoy sitting and spending time with a book.
What is your favorite book so far?
- Homegoing, which was a reread for me, but I'm really glad I did because I found a lot more gems in it this time around.
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
- 700+ pages read and two books completed, plus now I'm ahead on ATY
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
- I'd like to finish two more books, both of which are written by African American authors.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
- I definitely pushed myself to finish All the Ways We Said Goodbye much faster than I normally would read a 400+ page book.

Challenges have been days where I am gone all day. Distractions have been cooking meals
What has been your favorite part so far? I love working with the team & seeing how well we are doing.
What is your favorite book so far?A Woman of No Importance by Sonia Purnell.
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? I completed one book & read 380 pages. My last read helped complete a prompt.

If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I like being on a team. I think I am doing better with a group than alone.

Pancakes (and work)

Reading and working with Team Fruit Loops

I have 50 pages left of The Woman in the Window and it's really suspenseful.

I've finished two books I was reading before the readathon, plus two more short books. I'm aiming for 7.
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Finish The Woman in the Window and my audio of What the Wind Knows, then read one other book.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I put more time in reading so I can fit the prompts.
What challenges and distractions have you faced?
I had a few meetings and also I spent way too much time on the Scrambled Word game the other day!
What has been your favorite part so far? Working with the team and also discovering short books I probably wouldn't have read otherwise
What is your favorite book so far? The Penelopiad. Margaret Atwood tells the story of the Odyssey from his wife's view point. There is quite a bit of snark.
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? Finished 2 books, will have finished 4 by end of today.
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? Make sure my team gets all the points we can. Finish at least 3 more books by end of challenge.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I prioritized short books, which I don't usually do. I also made an effort to work my audiobook into many more hours than usual.

What challenges and distractions have you faced?
Oh just my usual issue with reading more of the threads than of my books. Planning is just so fun!
What has been your favorite part so far?
Getting through so many books! It just feels so good to check things off.
What is your favorite book so far?
The Hunting Party; this book was just so thoroughly up my alley. I'm so glad I pushed through my reading slump and stuck with this.
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've read 3 physical books and 1 audiobook. I'm also about a third of the way through another audiobook.
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Finish that audiobook, and read 1-2 more books.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It's so much fun to see everybody finishing things off, and figuring out where to stick stuff so we can progress.

I am a bit of a political junky and live in a state with early voting (that is a super Tuesday state) so following the campaigns and watching the debate cut into reading time. Also a couple of really beautiful days.
What has been your favorite part so far?The team aspect. I look at the challenge as if it is all on me.. and it isn't. The rest of team fills in most of the blanks.
What is your favorite book so far? Unsheltered by Barbara Kingsolver.
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? Finished 3 books, one of which counts for the ATY challenge. Nearly done with another book and midday in a fifth book .
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? Finish at least one more book.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I made a special trip to the library so I could pick up the audio book I had on hold, so I could read that for the read-a-thon.

What has been your favorite part so far? The Team Challenge!
What is your favorite book so far? What to Do When I'm Gone: A Mother's Wisdom to Her Daughter
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? Finished 5 books and completed the maze on the Individual Challenge.
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? Finish 4 more books. I try to finish a book for each day of the read-a-thon.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I've used the categories to help determine what I should start reading next.

I had a massively busy weekend, so I didn't get as much done right off the bat as I'd meant to. More significantly, I'm participating in a month-long themed readathon also, so trying to make my books fit both readathons - and, you know, be what I feel like reading! - isn't always easy, lol.
What has been your favorite part so far?
Most reading challenges and the like are really solo, so it's been fun to do a cooperative thing like this :)
What is your favorite book so far?
Which Witch? was pretty cute and clever. And I've been enjoying The Witch Elm a lot, but probably won't finish it within this week, so it likely won't fill a prompt, just page count.
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've filled 4 prompts and read a whole lot of pages for my team, and I've finished 4 books (plus a silly amount of picture books, lol).
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
To finish at least one more book. I'd also set a goal, at the beginning, to read in pretty places, and I haven't done as much of that as I'd like - so I want to go read by the beach, in some parks, at a nice coffeeshop or two, with the days that are left.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
Like I said earlier, I've done solo challenges before, but having a team to fill in prompts also eases the weight of it, and also requires some strategizing and discussion of who can fit which prompt when, etc., which is fun!

It's been a rough week generally in my personal life, which is a bit frustrating since I was expecting to read a ton this week. I finished a whole book on my first day of the read-a-thon, but been pretty slow since then.
What has been your favorite part so far?
I liked the Scattergories game.
What is your favorite book so far?
Read Bottom Up, of the two that I've finished.
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Finishing an entire book in one day, although to be fair, it was written in e-mail/text format so it moved very quickly.
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Finish my current book and read at least one more (ideally two more)
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
Not much. Unfortunately, I have not been able to keep up very well with my team because of everything else going on. Sorry everyone!

I'm currently facing a challenge right now because I finished two books during the read-a-thon and now I kind of just want a breather. I'm not really getting into any of the books I'm currently reading. Still hungover I guess.
What has been your favorite part so far?
I like the Progress thread and tracking my pages read. I only do that for read-a-thons and I get kind of impressed with how much I can finish when I actually set a goal.
What is your favorite book so far?
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
683 pages read, 2 books finished!
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
To reach 900 pages :)

Everyone in this house has had horrible headaches this week, so that and falling asleep when I planned on doing most of my reading.
What has been your favorite part so far?
Finishing some books, ticking off some prompts, and working with Team Lucky Charms :-)
Oh... and the games...always the games.
What is your favorite book so far?
A Clash of Kings. I am obsessed and I'm going to be very disappointed when I get to the last book and can't continue, so I'm settling for watching the series as I read.
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
as of yesterday the halfway point, around 900 pages read (!!) and 5 hours of audio. Checked off several prompts for Pop Sugar, ATY and Book Riot.
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
To finish

I have had to set aside a book I had already started. It simply isn't going to fit into this challenge.
What has been your favorite part so far?
Love seeing what everyone is reading.
What is your favorite book so far?
Eve Green
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Four books, three of them will fit the ATY. Feeling great, because I had only expected to finish three in the entire week.
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Have a couple of days that won't allow for much reading, but hope to finish at least one more book.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
Rescheduled a couple of books to work on ones that would fit the prompts. I also pay attention to length of the book when doing a read-a-thon, where I normally don't consider that at all.

What challenges and distractions have you faced?
Just the usual - work, responsibilities. And then there is my new addiction to binge watching YouTube...
What has been your favorite part so far?
I just love the group effort feeling of the team game
What is your favorite book so far?
Probably The Storyteller's Secret
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Finished two books I'd started before the readathon, read a whole other one, started my fourth
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Finish this forth (it's really short), read another shorter story and start a sixth book.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It makes me commit more...I might have forgotten about the readathon if I wasn't motivated by contributing to my team's progress.

What challenges and distractions have you faced?
Ummmmm.....a broken leg. A few doctors appointments and coordinating transportation to and from work. That's taken up more of my time than I was expecting this week.
Also, one of the books I was planning on reading (Less) and fit many criteria, I couldn't stand and just gave up on! That was disappointing because I waited for weeks to get that book.
What has been your favorite part so far?
I have loved seeing the numbers of pages increase each day and see what books other people are reading.
What is your favorite book so far?
P.S. I Still Love You
What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Well I contributed to pages read and hours listened to audio books. I was hoping to actually fill one of the prompts, but I don't think that is happening this time around.
What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I am currently reading two books (Pachinko and Nine Perfect Strangers), so I am hoping to get them finished.
If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I might have taken a break after giving up on a book, but I wanted to make sure I was contributing daily to get our page count up.
Oof I hate Less as well, Johanna. I only pushed through it because it was the end of last year and I was struggling to finish ATY. Hope your leg is ok!
