Jacoby nodded. “I’m sorry for scaring you. I got a little too intense with him.” He told her gently, staying close. “But I’ll be just fine.”

"You didn't scare me really, you were just doing what you needed to do. I just...don't like that you got hurt like you did," Vivan replied, looking up at him with sad eyes. And one of the worst feelings of it was that she hadn't actually done anything to help him either...

Jacoby hesitated before shifting and gently putting his hand on her arm. “If it makes you feel any better, I’m not a big fan of being cooked like that either.” He joked softly, smiling a bit. “I don’t blame Payton. He had reason to be upset and I pushed it a bit too much.”

Vivian looked at her when his hand moved and she listened to his words. She smile slightly from the joke and nodded at his others words. She understood that, he hadn't meant to do it after all. It just sucks that Jacoby had to get hurt. She hesitated a moment before leaning in and giving him a gently hug.

Jacoby shifted and gently wrapped his arms around her. He was careful of his wrists, not wanting to bend them or anything. “I’ll be just fine.” He promised her faintly, leaning on her slightly.

Vivian was also trying to be careful with him so she didn't accidentally hurt him. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying to convince herself that he was just fine, the burn would heal okay. Just, the actual healing part and him being in pain for a while made her upset.

Jacoby held her gently. “What’re you thinking?” He asked quietly. He let her go after a moment, staying close by her. He shifted and leaned back against the wall.

Vivian looked up at him when he let her go, already missing the feeling of being that close to him. They two of them had never really made a lot of contact with one another before so that had been really nice. She shrugged at the question, sitting back a bit on her knees."About you."

“What about me?” He asked quietly. He grabbed the bandages and added one more layer over his wrists to be extra cautious. Jacoby looked over at her.

Vivian blushed a bit at the question, her having been the one to confess she was thinking about him in the first place however."Just...that I'm glad you're not too hurt....and I hope you get better soon."

He nodded. “Thank you. For your concern and helping get my wrists cleaned up.” Jacoby mumbled. He studied her for a moment before glancing away.

"Yeah, of course," Vivian replied, seeing him looking at her for those couple of moments. She didn't know if she should say something or not and after a second, she did."What?"

He shook his head. “Nothing. Just grateful for your help and glad that you’re pretty calm about this all. I’m pretty sure Everett would’ve tried to knock Payton out if hed seen it.” He commented quietly. He set the bandages down and glanced at her.

Vivan listened and nodded, smiling a bit."Yeah...that sounds like something he would do, for sure." She paused for a bit before, looking back up at him."You...gotta go now, huh? Cause he's looking for you."

Jacoby nodded. “Probably yeah. I don’t want him freaking out too much or anything.” He looked over at her. “but I’ll see you in a bit, once I make sure he’s fine.” He offered softly, wanting to make her happy.

Vivian didn't want him to go, but she knew than for Jacoby, Everett came first. So she nodded her head, staying down on the floor to clean up what she had used to take care of his wrists."Okay..."

Jacoby smiled gently at her. He carefully got to his feet after a moment and left her bathroom. He went to the room he and Everett shared, tugging his sleeves down over his wrists.

Everett was there, sitting on his bed. He looked up when Jacoby came in, taking a sniff of the air."That smell was you? It smells like burning meat." He stood up and moved over to him, examining him to find out where it was coming from exactly.

“Well. I would hope I don’t smell entirely like burning meat.” He muttered with an eye roll. He glanced at Everett before moving and sitting on his bed. He didn’t say what had happened or anything. The last thing he wanted was for Everett to go after Payton

"No not totally. Just," Everett followed him to the bed, continuing to sniff the air around him before his eyes found his wrists. He frowned and pointed to them."What happened?" He couldn't see the bandage, but he could smell whatever was on it.

Jacoby watched him figure it out, always a bit impressed with how he could pinpoint stuff. “I got burnt. I’m fine. Just was a bit careless.” He assured.

"Bullshit, what happened? I smelled this out in the hallway, outside of Payton and Shane's room," Everett said, a stern look on his face. He just didn't like things to be hidden from him, which was kinda ironic considering all of the crap he hid from other people.

“I got burnt Everett. That’s all. I’m fine.” He repeated to reassure him. He didn’t want to tell him what happened and have him flip out. He pulled his sleeves up and showed the bandages. “See? Just fine. Aside from the cooked smell I guess.”

Everett didn't buy it, he wasn't dumb. He gave Jacoby a pointed look, crossing his arms over his chest."You couldn't have randomly gotten burn in the middle of the hallway. What happened?"

Jacoby shrugged. “Nothing. We were just messing around. Things got out of hand. But I’m fine.” He promised quietly.

Again, Everett just continued to give him a pointed look, knowing that he was still lying. Messing around? With what? A lighter than nobody had."Try again."

“You’re the one who’s trying to figure out why everyone’s so special nd is here instead of literally anywhere else. I’m sure you can wrack your brain a bit and sort it out..” Jacoby commented, laying back on his bed. His wrists were starting to bother him a bit but he mainly just felt tired.

Everett frowned at his words, already figuring that it had to do something with Payton, since he had been alone with Shane during whatever the hell happened with them. So what? Payton could use fire or something?"Did Payton burn you?"

Jacoby glanced over at him. “Everett. This is not a difficult thing for you to figure out. You know where I was and who I was with. And that I got burnt. I don’t need to connect the dots for you.” He mumbled softly.

Jacoby glanced at him. “Took you a minute bit yeah. He didn’t even use fire, it was definitely strange..” he explained, assuring him faintly. “I’m fine though. So don’t go after him or anything. It’ll just make it worse.”

Jacoby shrugged. “Cause you were alone with Shane and he was trying to get to you guys. I wouldn’t let him and he flipped his shit. Then he wouldn’t let go.” He summarized quietly. “Just don’t tell the doctors, obviously.”
