I need a new detective vs serial killer book series to read. I like them quite dark and gritty. So far I've done
Ian Rankins, Inspector Rebus
Michael Connelly, Harry Bosch
James Patterson, Alex Cross
Jo Nesbo, Harry Hole
Peter James, Roy Grace
Kerin Slaughter, Grant County/Will Trent (didn't like)
Someone please help me I need to read some thing many thanks!

Dark and gritty? Try "Irene" by Pierre Lemaitre. It's the first in a series that's been translated into English from French. It falls on my list of high recommendations.
Harry Bosch is one of my own personal favourites. Inspector Banks, a mystery series by Peter Robinson, I find rather enjoyable, but it's not that dark - maybe a little ominous, if anything.
