Out of desperation, Imogen decides to steal money from Lord Anstruther. Should she have just asked him for help?

Robin (robinmy) | 2478 comments I thought she should have just asked him instead of trying to steal it. Of course, when he heard her story about working at the Bare Kitten, some men wouldn't have listened to her at all. She's lucky he was a good one.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2993 comments They had formed a good friendship over the weeks he was under her care. I thought she should have asked for help instead of trying to steal from him.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1215 comments I think she owed him the truth right away, too.

He adored her, had offered her money in the past. I’m certain he would have quickly come to her rescue, as he ultimately did. Her decision to steal from him showed the depths to which she’d sunk in her own mind about herself. Yes, she should have asked.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments She definitely should have asked but she was so afraid that her friend wouldn't understand, I think.

Desperation makes you do crazy things, least of all it takes away rational thinking.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2993 comments She was also dressed in her Bare Kitten outfit and was ashamed of it. She didn't want anyone to see her in it.

Oh! I’d forgotten all about that. Good point.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1812 comments Yes, she could have just asked him, but what if he had said "no". She was desperate.
