Latoy While I understoounderstand Jason wanting to have his needs met, j.j can't possibly hhandle the sex the same Anita can, or another shifter, by being with a human female he has to give up some things because of her physical limitations.

Allison Gill Jason controls himself with JJ and so can Nathaniel. Anita has the sexual fire in control and knew she would be OK to be with JJ, Jason and Nathaniel. Also Jason and Nathaniel as a team know how to stop Anita from hurting anyone. All the shifters say they have to keep themselves in check with humans.

Latoy I agree Jason has to give something up. However I think the reason he's trying to have his cake & eat it too is bc he's in love with JJ. I think if he's not able to satisfy his physical need to be "rough" he could end up with the same issues Richard has.

Kelly Martin I started reading Laurell Hamilton because of the story she had around her romance. Then it became the story around her sex story. This was all sex story with not story! She needs more than just the sex to make an interesting story,

As long as people continue to purchase 'sex with no story,' Hamilton has no reason to change the status quo.

April I love Laurell Hamilton's older books, but I do not need a book full of just "fluff". Yes, the sex scenes are great, but I need some adventure and PLOT to enjoy a book. This book was a waste of time, for us and her. I will NOT be purchasing this one to add to the collection. :( Come on Laurell, step it up. We know you can do it.

Tashann I have mixed feelings about the Anita Blake series. While I do enjoy the later books in the series, I have to admit that sometimes it just seemed like excuses for several chapters worth of gun-porn and orgies, rather than dealing with the supernatural crisis at hand. The previous book "Affliction," seemed like a return to form with actual action taking precedence over the porn, which if not absent at least did not result in her adding yet another person to her harem.
But a book just about her relationship issues and nothing but sex? It might work with another author but seems out of place here.

Samantha I think this book could or should have been a .5 and not a stand alone. I happen to like Jason in Anita's world and am happy he has found his person. I kinda hope a later book mentions how thing progress with JJ and the girlfriend.

Lady S JASON was never meant to be a stand-alone short/novella. If you want to give it a numerical # in the order of Anita Blake books, then it would be 23.5. I am absolutely sure that there will be more mention Jason and his goings-on in his life as well as his and JJ's love life.
