Writing challenge

Hi all this is my Ultimate writing challenge. There will be no deadline this is going to go on forever. Basically if you want to participate you just Write your name below and I will give you either a prompt, first sentence, last sentence, picture, part of a story, blurb, ext. and you will have to write either a story (length doesn't matter) or a poem about it. This is just a fun challenge to see how good you are thinking on your feet. I will give you a deadline, it may be 5 days, it may be 5 weeks or it may be 5 hours. You never know?!?!?!?!?!?! Please feel free to participate as many times as you want. Post your answers here, under spoilers, or in your own folders if you want. Have fun guys.

I hope we're not having tuna casserole again...
I'd tried a hundred times to shut my 'power' off during class, but I couldn't. It just wasn't possible.
Mr. Birch was telling us why one electron merges with a neutron or something or other, when I heard something that actually caught my attention.
That will show them.
I could never be sure who was saying what, but if it was distinct enough, I could usually figure it out.
For some reason, my attention went to Mark Ruffelo, the new kid from Jersey. He'd been getting a hard time lately.
He was hardly five feet tall, skinny, quiet, he might as well have had a 'pick on me, I'm different!' sign on his chest.
I decided it might be smart to keep an eye on him.

After science, we had lunch, and I could hardly separate everyone else's thoughts from my own during lunch.
Sometimes I ate outside, just for peace and quiet, but today I stayed in the cafeteria.
I was leaning back on the wall with the menu on it, when I saw Mark slinking around the kitchen.
The lunch lady, Betty, was talking on her cellphone and didn't see him.
She didn't see him pulling the tray of hot dogs out of the fridge and replacing it with another.
But I did.
Ignoring the other students' internal comments about what passes for food in the public school system, I rushed over and seized Mark by the collar of his shirt.
He yelped.
"What are you doing?" I asked. Mark's dark eyes darted to the tray in the fridge.
"Uh..."
I snatched the tray out and scanned down the label.
'Marcotta Foods, Inc, 1985.'
"You replaced our hotdogs for tomorrow with ones from 1985?" I asked, dumbfound. Mark knew we were having hotdogs the next day, like we did every other Friday.
"Mark..."
"Don't tell anyone. He begged. "Please, Carrie."
I threw the tray into the trash.
"Mark, those were gonna make everyone sick. I know you're having a hard time fitting in here, but poisoning your bullies is not the answer."
Mark looked at the floor.
"You're right. I... I'm sorry." I put my hand on his shoulder. He looked up.
"Hey, you wanna have lunch with me?"
"Oh, gee, I don't-"
"I have cranberry-vanilla cookies." I interrupted.
Mark arched his eyebrows.
"How'd you know those were my favorite?"
I shrugged.
"Lucky guess." (hide spoiler)]
