Well, I finally completed Lirael, to score my first book in my Series Challenge.Derkholm is a #1, so doesn't count towards my goal. It does open up Year of the Griffin as a possibility, though. I also started Retribution Falls, so another series started.
Finishing The World of Ice & Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the Game of Thrones tonight. More a related book than part of the straight up series, but definitely fits the category.
Finished Rhune, the beta read. It's a #1, but I'm counting it here because its series is a prequel to the Riyria Chronicles & Revelations, which I've read.
I'm listing Little Fuzzy for my series completion. Yes, it's a first in the series, but I just read Fuzzy Nation so it was really my second...
Finished Fool's Errand. Though it's the first in the Tawny Man series, it's the 7th overall in Hobb's Realms of the Elderlings.
Awesome! The Dragon books are fun. The first Fool&Fitz was some where between ok and good, but the second is great so far. I'm about 80% done, should be finishing soon.
The Dragon books are shorter too, I guess. The ebook page count for all 4 is shorter than that of the Tawny Man 3 books. HeheI'll probably start them soon, though I'm scared with a new narrator.
So I finished Dragon Keeper. Hmmm. Looks like I'll have to read all 4 to get any kind of closure at all.
It's really a two book series split into four. The first two and the last two really could have been one long book each :P
It's the same with the last two in the series. I'm not sure what Hobb was doing releasing it as 4 books. I think she just wanted a book to come out each year rather than every other year maybe?
Finished City of Dragons. One more Rain Wilds to go. I wonder which of the three narrators I'll get.
I can't believe you are almost caught up! All of my wildest dreams are coming true! :DSide note, I have really lame dreams ;)
No, not lame. I'd say I'm pretty stoked about being associated with your wildest dreams. LOLAnyway, yeah. Just one more dragon book and I'll be ready for Fitz & Fool.
Finished Blood of Dragons & The Death of Dulgath this weekend. That brings me up to 20 books, with my goal being 24.As miserably as I'm doing in my overall reading counts, I'm actually knocking out a good number of series books.
Finished Pronto, which is listed as Raylan Givens #1, but I've already read Fire in the Hole: Stories to start that series.
I can't believe you listened to both of them! I've been eyeing Pandora's Star and I can't bring myself to try it.
Yeah, I think they're 40 hours + each. I listened to Pandora's in February so I had a good break between them. John Lee's reading is slow enough that you could speed him up a bit.
A good Hamilton to try would be Great North Road, which was my first. It's huge too, but it's a standalone and it's much more accessible to humans.
Finished Golden Son today, which completes my Series Challenge.Incidentally, it also completes my Goodreads Challenge for the year.
