After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid - 4 stars

Turns out, Forever Interrupted was Taylor Jenkins Reid's first novel, and this is her second. Looks like I am inadvertently reading them in the right order. This author has such an understanding of everyday human relationships that its uncanny. She knows how to write character, plain and simple.

The concept behind this novel, is what happens when romance fades, and a couple has to face new changes in a marriage to keep it going - or to actually acknowledge that what they built no longer works. It was extremely well done, and this author softly grabs you at the core. Her characters are quirky and imperfect. And you root for them, because they are wonderful, even in these baser more petty states. And because ultimately, we all want to love and be loved. Another hit, in my opinion. So glad I made her my author of the year!
