I forgot about this (if it was discussed already at all)

if I'm going with alternate task (forgot to roll again *hangs head in shame*) instead of one of 2 book tasks, do I need to read 2 alternate books?
I don't mind going with 2 books, just wanted to be sure. ☺

Hi Tea!

If you use the alternate task, you just need to read one book. But you can put it in a 2 book task slot.

But you raise a great question.....and idea for next year. If it's a two book task you are using, then it does make sense to read two alternate task books.

But for this year you only need to read one book, and it can be used for a two book task. I just hadn't thought about your idea. But I like it!

I'm actually pretty amazed - I haven't had to use an alternate task yet! I am sure I just jinxed myself, but after last year it is still impressive!

Me neither... I'm sure I'm jinxed now too but it's harder to force the roll at the end when you only need one or two things... like yahtzee!

Very true! Sometimes the Yahtzee gods are smiling on you though. But when they aren't you can't ever seem to roll more than a pair over and over again!

Last year I didn't ever have to do an Alternative Task because I forgot to roll the dice. I'm more of a pacing-the-floor on the night of the 24th kind of girl, just waiting for the minute hand on the clock to change so I can roll the dice. BUT my first roll last year resulted in Chance. That didn't bode well. I had to do Alternative Tasks 3 more times because of not having good rolls.

This year has been very different. I didn't need to use Chance until November so I haven't done an Alternative Task yet. I have a feeling that I have one or two of them in my near future though since I only have Sixes and Yahtzee left. I would be very surprised to roll both of those.
