This story is about a simple woman who marries a man with money. She discovers she has powers and is just honing them when he is abducted. She goes on a mission to fin him and discovers she can kill people with her mind. I want to say these books came out in the late 90s or early 2000s.

I'm pretty sure I know the series you are talking about. Is her husband someone who searched her out for her paranormal abilities? it might take a bit because i have to remember who wrote it because it was not something she normally wrote if I remember. And I can't pull the author in my head yet. lol.
