3 chapters in and loving these characters! Completely agree about Augustus's parents, they seem pretty awesome. I love the instant connection between Hazel and Augustus and the clever dialogue.

chapter 7 - I think listening to this at work is a bad idea. I'm about 97% sure this is going to make me cry.

Augustus is so quirky and kind. Hazel is so smart and young. Oh my heart.

Just finished Chapter 13. My heart hurts. (view spoiler)[ Peter Van Houten is the worst! What kind of vile person can completely crush a young girl with cancer when she just wants to know what happens to characters in a book that has brought her a tiny bit of solace?? Grrr he really ticked me off!

Augustus - this is so unfair. I want these two to be together, to be happy, to not have to wonder who will die first. A touch of cancer - this book is wonderful and tragic. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 23 (view spoiler)[ Ugh I hate that Augustus died. Not that it was so surprising but ugh, he was such a great character! His funeral was lovely - when Isaac gives his speech I was fighting back tears. I both like and hate that Peter Van Houten came to the funeral, it's awesome Gus made that happen but he is terrible. I love Hazel's dad consoling her after the funeral and I loved Augustus's dad telling her how thankful he is that Hazel is in their life. These characters are incredible. (hide spoiler)]
