Suspense Magazine (suspensemagazine) | 3 comments Maybe you heard, or maybe you didn't but Lee Child will no longer be the author of the Jack Reacher series. Instead Lee turned to his brother Andrew to take the reigns. Check out our exclusive interview with Andrew and hear all the behind the scenes information about the transition of the series, how it happened and what does the future hold for the series. OMalleycat | 1448 comments Okay, I’ve never been a Jack Reacher reader. I read a couple of them a long time ago but wasn’t motivated to keep going. But I know several of you are big fans. I found startling the news that Lee Child is retiring. Did any of you know? I also didn’t know his brother is also a suspense writer. How convenient to have someone he can hand off the series too. It will be interesting to hear if this works for fans.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16927 comments When I get some time I look forward to listening to the interview. I had read a recent newsletter statement from Lee Child explaining his decision to hand off the series, and yes, it was surprising. Should be interesting.

Melodie (melodieco) | 3679 comments I had heard he was handing the books off to his brother. I read an early Reacher, I think it was KILLING FLOOR, and wasn't crazy about it. Picked up MIDNIGHT LINE a couple of years ago and really liked it. Didn't like the one after that, but have BLUE MOON in The Pile waiting to be read.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9483 comments I think I had an inkling of this but will look for the newsletter statement explaining his decision. Unlike Melodie I loved Killing Floor, still my favorite of the series. Maybe in part because Jack Reacher and his way of handling this was new and surprising. The recent ones, not so much. This series is no longer a must-read-the-second-it-is-released.
