I spent half an hour on Ticketek - when I did get through they told me that there were no GA tickets left. For some reason the GA tickets were £20 more than the seats but my son was adamant it was GA he wanted. I finally gave up but for some reason I had another shot at 5.00pm and found there was a second show announced. Ticketek allowed me one GA ticket but I rang my son who was still at work and luckily sat beside a colleague who logged on and got him another couple of GA tickets - so that's the three he was after. That was hard work!

It's bad enough when I'm queuing for tickets for myself but the pressure is doubled when it's for someone else. I struggled on Tuesday to buy 2 tickets for the Drive-By Truckers but persistence paid off and I'm going! Yay!
Let's celebrate. Today is two months since last post here. Nice bottle of red?(green tea for me please)
Camomile and honey for me. Cheers! Today I have mostly been meeting friends for lunch, catching up with their news as they’ve been busy with family stuff during the summer. Had a great time, hope you did too.
I'll have the red tomorrow, along with watching a couple of episodes of Supernatural.Thick fog out today so I'm glad I'm not going anywhere.
No fog but it’s that sneaky sort of rain that soaks you through before you notice. Think I’ll look for something to do indoors.
And it's rosehip and hibiscus tea for me today, with a smidgen of honey. What an exciting bunch we are! Mostly dry but v v cold here. (The weather, not the tea.)Btw, cat and tea lovers might like this:

I gave one to my sister for her birthday and it's pretty cool.
Love that Helen!I survived a birthday party for two grandsons (7 and 5). There must have been about 20-25 kids there and it was great that they weren't my problem! A long day though - I left home at 11.00am and got home at 6.00pm. Next one (Miss turning 5) is in two weeks.
I might ask for that for Christmas, Helen! I'd love a real cat but I'm nervous about the road by us. It's supposedly a thirty limit but cars bat round the bend as if they were on a private road ... Today I'm going to plant a few bits in the garden, our neighbours kindly gave me some periwinkle that will go in on the front slope. Enjoy your day.
Changed my mind re tonight's wine choice. Sat with a Chardonnay watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

...swimmin, lyin in the sun, walking & shopping, what else to do in Los Cristianos(Tenerife)? Bought new wrist watch yesterday, get them smashed at work every few years.'0)
Gotsta send some banal photo of me grinning under pharmacy thermomether to my workmates with "aww how I miss you guys, it's so boring here..."

It’s tough but someone’s got to support the tourist industry …😎🏖️
Have a brill time, Post. Hope you have another few days left of that Tenerife sunshine. 😎I've spent another day coughing and spluttering after catching a dreaded bug over 2 weeks ago. 🤒
Thanks Isabella, Collette,Wife got horrible fever, cough, running nose, vomitting two days before flight, almost had to stay home. Things are getting slightly better now by every day, should be alright in a coupla days. Plus car battery nearly died when approaching airport long term car park. Thankfully got a spare one in a boot (tools too). We always get into this kind of adventure, especially when trying to be smart arse. Next Friday goin' back.
Be well too, Collette.
Hope Mrs Post gets well soon and enjoys the rest of her holiday. I remember one time years ago on the coach from Alicante Airport to Benidorm half the poeple on it were coughing and sneezing, myself included. Think I thought my cold would miraculously clear up the minute I arrived there, but it wasn't to be. Spanish sun's good, just not that good ha ha. I'll try, thanks.
Going to the supermarket and out to friends this evening. Looking forward to catching up. Enjoy your film, Collette.
Sounds perfect Collette. I've been struggling with sciatica since Christmas Day and am on so many painkillers I daren't add alcohol to the mix.

We’re just chilling with crosswords and killer sudoku. A friend came to tea earlier and nothing appeals to watch.
TV is hopeless here in summer. Networks assume everyone is at the beach. We've been catching up on classic DVDs (I still buy copies of films/TV series - much cheaper and quicker than searching through all the streaming services only to find they're not there anyway) - The Green Man (Alistair Sim), Oliver's Travels (Alan Bates, Sinéad Cusack) and more.
Just back from watching Priscilla at the Cinema.Great movie. Not what I was expecting.
Sofia Coppola is a brilliant director.
Miss Snowdrop's currently engrossed in bird tv on Youtube. My only plans are the usual bottle of wine and horror dvd tonight.
'Juno Loves Legs'What a book! Had to force myself to put it down and go to sleep last night.
How grateful I am for the authors and the musicians that enrich our lives.
Enjoying Lou Reeds 'New York' album. What a pure classic.
Whatever happened to Brass, or 'them brassoles' as the Grimsby dwelling retired teacher was known.I sensed something brewing when he got that Dog. He mentioned his wife was very fond of the couch, and not in a good way.
What's the betting he met some fellow Doggy walker and walked on away...sunset bound.
I have emailed him (a few months back) and sent a Christmas card but no reply. Can only hope all is well Chez Brass.

Could Mr B maybe be looking after his elderly parents or something? Hopefully he'll be back on exiles at some point. Miss his lip.
Trying to make a trellis for the jasmine as they didn’t have anything suitable at the garden centre. Nice lunch and maybe a film tonight.
Have a good day then Isabella. Good luck with the trellis. My plans are a pepperoni pizza for dinner, an episode or 2 of Supernatural, and a bottle of Malbec and a film tonight.

Now we gotsta four holidays ahead, have to repeat going somewhere and do some gardening maybe (when earth gets warmer. awright, a few things already growing in polytunnel like letuce, radish, onions)

That looks like a very useful device. What sort of life does it have? Do you have to recharge it when you get home? A godsend for campers.
