There's a healthy Fox population in your parts, Brass.

This morning that time is over and I will bravely wade forth into a sea of Tile selections.....
Sigh.......
And then I have to tile the Kitchen floor.
Double sigh :0

Think of it as part of the rich tapestry of life. Tiles are useful! Tiles are attractive! Tiles are fun!
This isn't working, is it? Ah well, think how pleased you'll be when it's done. Give us pictures of your achievement, you'll deserve bragging rights. 😊

Was v bad up here too. Don't know what mph they reached but we were without power all day Sat (went off sometime Fri nighttime) & Sun. Brrr.

You saw the Pooka, Tech.

You're obsessed with that pup's bowels."
There was a loose few days here and there, but I can happily inform you that now, a decent degree of firmness has returned.
That statement can also be used for aging men, in the north of England.

Yep, windy as windy can be.
Blizzarding snow, sleet and hail too.
Sadly none settling, I love snow :)

Got my new Shein cosy pjs on today so I think it'll be a bottle of white wine tonight just to be on the safe side. And possibly The Night Eats The World on dvd.

Don't know anything about Shark cleaners but I rarely use our Vax as I find it very heavy. Fortunately, with no pets, the cordless is fine.

A house or two ago we had both a ginger cat and a black and white one with a black carpet and ALL the hairs showed up beautifully against the black 🙄
Now we have easy clean wooden floors, no cats. Never get it quite in the right order ...

Mine won't last that long, Tech. Vacuum cleaners and I don't get on very well. I go through them kinda fast. Actually D and I and most things electrical don't get on very well. Next thing to get replaced will be our tv. And it's only 16 bloody months old. It has this habit of freezing and you have to unplug it because it won't turn over or turn off. Drives D totally up the wall. I'll miss the ambilight though. 😃

It's lik a losing battle, isn't it Isabella? When we had we Ebony her black hair went all over the bedding. Even today after I'd hoovered, there's Snowdrop playing around making the carpet all hairy again. On saying that, I wouldn't change her for the world. ☹️

Started on Feb 7th, still a while to go yet.
105 born, around 150 to Calf this year.

Collette, I also got new tv, my first flatscreen, LG Oled, so huge quantum leap for my eyes. Just to get around remote took a few days. And thankfully got connected and working my old analog Yamaha receiver with surround sound.

Great stuff, you'll be busy.
Happy to say the house training days seem to be over with our pup.

I was a little bit disappointed - possibly because my expectations were so high after reading the reviews, but mostly because the Wednesday matinee crowd is so old and sedate (who, moi???). We had booked back in November and were in Row R in the Stalls, so quite good seats (though not the high price ones). But the crowd numbers weren't great and we were encouraged by staff to move forwards to Row K. I thought the costumes were perfect, as was the singing and dancing. We did get the "A" cast and I loved the three male leads (all great singers). I found the lighting a bit subdued - presumably to reflect post-Occupation Paris. All the Gershwin tunes were fab and I thought the orchestra was in top form. But the audience! - so sedate and polite! Contrast to the previous week when we were at the opening night of Victorian Opera's Happy End (Kurt Weill/Bertolt Brecht) at the Playhouse. A full house of very young, stylish hipsters who were there to enjoy themselves (and still choosing to wear masks) - they had a ball and really added to the atmosphere of a good stage show. A terrific night. Whereas Wednesday's crowd was rather flat. I have two more Wednesday matinees coming up - "Girl From The North Country" (Bob Dylan; cast of Lisa McCune, Peter Kowitz, Grant Piro, Helen Dallimore, Peter Carroll) and "Cinderella" (Rodgers & Hammerstein - cast includes Ainsley Melham, Tina Bursill, Todd McKenney, Silvie Paladino). Hopefully there's more oomph to be had on our side of the footlights.

Happy days.
Always wanted one, as we have a huge outdoor veg garden but can't obviously grow Tomatoes, cucumbers etc etc...

Brilliant, great to grow your own. I've got strawberries and herbs and am starting some asparagus peas indoors. They were our daughter's favourite and they look as good as they taste.
Don't have anywhere to put a polytunnel, not enough flat ground but I'm hoping to get a small greenhouse for the balcony and a shed for tools and potting soon.

Sounds good, Huck. Not sure where you are but Queens are very popular in Ireland, as the Irish love floury spuds.

Yes the ultimate floury spud Serial, you have to be careful when cooking (steaming) or they fall apart. As per normal over here in County Down we have a choice of variety - "British Queens" or "Dublin Queens" although they look and taste suspiciously similar :-)

'Balls of flour' my Irish friends say to me, when complimenting Spuds!
I only grow Blight resistant varieties the last 2 years, the blight ruined too many crops for me.
I'm a bit late with my garden this year, as the new Puppy has meant fencing the veg garden, which I've only just finished.
Just bought a 40ft long Polytunnel too, yet to get put up though,

i wondered why they called you "floury balls" ! planted Rooster variety last year and they seem very resistant - a good all rounder. Are you proposing to lock the puppy in a polytunnel ?

Feck that! I'm planning on moving into the Polytunnel and leaving the puppy in the house with the family. :0

i know where you are coming from - the "it's me or the dog" syndrome. Ours is chewing up sock, shoes etc and i suspect would make short work of a polytunnel too :-) What sort of frame has the polytunnel got - sounds like it's quite big and susceptible to strong winds (as we all are at my age) ?

Shake and vac? :0

Curved hooped frame, should be fine in the gales. Has bracing bars too, crops bars, and I'll trench the plastic.

Frame made from what material(s) ? I regret selling a aluminium framed greenhouse that we inherited - in great nick but missing a couple of glass panes. Think i got £30 for it. That said the foundation blocks made a perfect base for my garden shed
